Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a frustrating issue in Path of Exile 2 Early Access and was hoping someone could help. Despite my FPS remaining stable and my internet connection being solid (300-400 Mbps), I keep encountering stuttering and lag. It’s not tied to any specific location or activity in the game—it happens randomly during gameplay, and my first session was particularly bad. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Adjusted in-game settings (including lowering visual effects and disabling unnecessary options). Capped my FPS to prevent fluctuations. Checked hardware utilization (none of my components are maxed out). My specs are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D GPU: RTX 4070 Super RAM: 32 GB DDR5 Storage: 2 TB SSD Cooling: Liquid cooling (temps are low and stable) The game is installed on my SSD, and I’ve verified the files through the launcher. The issue seems more like micro-stutters or desync rather than classic lag or FPS drops. Is anyone else encountering this? Any tips or settings adjustments I might have missed? Thanks in advance! I am encountering this. What is your ping? Even seemingly stable ping at 160ms I have this issue.

I have to check later I am not sure and dont want to say something wrong, however the ping seemed fairly stable however I will reply later when I am able to check it out.

I'm facing similar problems, but I'm on Xbox series S.
Here is a clip I recorded showing the stuttering: https://www.xbox.com/play/media/V6bcr4wwnB |

same problem, my issue seems to be tied to specifically GPU LATENCY that's what spikes to like 70-80ms and causes my stable +60fps to instantly drop to 5-10fps
but i've never had this issue with any game (and i've played a shitload of poe/elden ring/etc on this pc) |

Same problem, can't play the game on the lowest settings (notebook, 1650 and ryzen 5 4600h, having like 20-30 fps). How can I make refund of the game? I won't be able to play this with those latency spikes (i mean 50-60 and 200ms instantly)...

DaOneAndOnlyBoss#7534 Oh wow yes that is quite consistent and if that's the state you are in then it would be unplayable or at least not enjoyable. For me its similar but my lags are a bit longer but the consistency is not as pronounced compared how it is in your case.
midNightLUL#5551 In your case the best way is to contact the support support@grindinggear.com and ask them for a refund and or advice. I am sorry that I cannot do more. |

I'm basically waiting for servers' maintenance to be over, and hopefully it will be fixed by then.

No in addition I now get total pc crashes 2, got 3 so far but now I wont touch the game until they do some maintenance because don't want to manually reboot the game every time I go in a loading screen. Sorry guys hope we can all play soon the game...
