Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

Singapore server same story. 2 days now most of the maps i play lagging af.
Been having high latency when mapping for the past 2 days. First time it happened since I played at launch. Getting 1k to 20k ping. I was able to play fine for 3 hours yesterday. Played for 30 minutes today and lag spike already happened. There are areas where lag spikes happen and there are areas that are fine. I wonder why that's happening. I have to open a map to see if lag spikes will happen what a waste. I'm not even sure if the areas with no lag will continue to be fine.

Are they back from vacation? Has anyone official acknowledged that they’re working on this issue? It’s laggy but sorta playable for me on off hours but at night it’s unplayable. Huge lag spikes and freezes. Using the dc server.

Meant to say this started after an update a couple days before Xmas. Idk which day exactly. Before then it was fine.

On XSX. Last few days it's unplayable. Stuttering and lag.

Tried playing on a different XSX and internet connection, same thing.

I get so nervous around bosses because 9 times out of 10, I'll get close to beating them and then the game with freeze up and it comes back and I'm dead.

Game ran fine until the update.
System:
win 10
16gb
i-4770
Geforce 3050

Freezes, FPS, 100% CPU usage. Please optimize it. On a weaker system, my friend had no lags.

Alright guys, might have a temporary solution for Windows users.

NOTE: I won't go into details, but it most certainly will NOT work for everyone, since there seems to be a few different issues related to the stuttering (one involving the networking, by the looks of it).
But this one worked for me.

What you need to do, is to launch the game, then open the Task Manager (Alt+Ctrl+Delete -> Task Manager), select "Details" tab (as shown on screenshot below) and find PathOfExileSteam.exe process. Right click it, select "Set Affinity". And then disable the first core (CPU 0). Then switch back to the game and check if stuttering is gone.
The inconvenient part is that you have to do it every time you start the game. But I hope GGG engineers will figure it out in the next patch.

p.s. sorry for poor image quality.

Thanks worked for me. Hope GGG fix this

it's work!!!
I guess lag spikes / latency caused by server overpopulating at hot hours.
Look at this thread I've posted week ago, despite having one geo realm the game might reallocate instance to another geo realm (with weird middle-routes) in player peak hours: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3663312
I just wonder how they can't rent a bit more servers assuming they have Tencent at their backs...

I'm hoping for a fix soon. I learned that the stutter I get is from some packet loss every minute or so. However POE2 is so damn fussy that it freezes for a split second when this happens while countless other games continue to run smooth.

POE1 is fussy as well, but when I turn on "predictable," in the game options it's smooth as butter. When I write in "predictable," in the config file of poe2 it does nothing.
Oh yeah, big issue!
Made a post about it ten days ago.
This video i recorded tonight just to show the problem(happens everywhere, maps, towns, even when just idling):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nELFquSVxss

It is like the game is actually doing mini pauses, A few times the game has told me i can't open a townportal when the game is paused! I'm guessing that happens when i time my portal with one of these "stutters".

I thought I was the only one experiencing this. Its not always as bad as the video you posted but happens when theirs a lot going on in combat. Has made me pretty much give up on mapping at this point. Im lvl 92 and I die too often to this terrible performance to go any further. I'm running on a 3070ti laptop and I get its not the best setup but I expect it to run this game a lot more smoothly then it is at the lowest settings.
