PoE2: "Failed to connect to instance"

So, I was in the middle of my third attempt at Count Geonor and I was unexpectedly disconnected, as he was creating the foggy arena.
Then, when I tried to enter the game from the character selection screen I could not get in, it fails to connect to instance. I can boot the game and log-in to view my character selection screen--even after closing the game and opening it back up--I still fail to load instance.
Someone else on the thread reported that reinstalling fixed it for them so I am trying that now.

(UPDATE:)

After reinstalling the game let me load into my checkpoint right before the boss in Ogham Manor.
I beat the boss, and now I cannot take the portal back to town after The Hooded One put Count Geonor out of his misery. When i try to go back to town It takes to the loading screen where it will then fail to load instance.

At the character select screen, now the game will allow me to load and it brings me back to the slain body of Count Geonor.

I think I'm stuck here bro's

I am having a similar issue when trying to reload in. I am on the steam client and cannot seem to connect to an instance. I have tried manually changing the server I am connecting to as well as graphics settings. One hour later and still no luck...

I'm experiencing the same issue now as well. Whenever I try to log in, the log in fails and get hit with the 'Failed to connect to instance'.

Was doing my first trial as a merc and the game crashed and when I tried to load it back up the game appeared to patch and then it fails to log into the trials instance and boots me to login with failed to load instance.

I tried creating a new character and it will not load the beginning instance and boots me back to login. I have tried switching servers no help. unable to play game at this point.

Sigh, add me to the list. Can't log in at all.

Only thing that fixes the issue is a vpn.

Same issue here. Will try again tomorrow on my desktop (received the error on rog ally x though it worked earlier in the day so seemingly not related)

same issue, craches and im unable to go back to that toon, made a new toon and wont let me enter and loads into riverbank and when try to enter town kicks me. reinstalled game, checked files left it for more than 1 hour to release the instance but nothing
