PoE2: "Failed to connect to instance"

ok so i was having the same issue if you have a vpn like i do Nortons you have the issue so i turned it off and i logged in fine went back to turn it on after getting in i was kicked out.

so i think the secure vpn is causing an issue due to location also helped with my closest server dropping to 12 ms

same, we where playing fine with my boyfriend, end of quest in act 1 in ogham village we changed to The manor rampants and from there "fail to connect to instance"... we both are stuck there, we play in party but in 2 diferent pc.

Changing login gateway from NZ to AUS worked for me, thanks DanioOFP#0546.

So I tried a few of the things here including verifying, but they didn't work and I was not willing to reinstall before exhausting other options, I tried manually switching gateway servers (Frankfurt, Milan, London, etc.) but that didn't work and I kept getting the same error. but the thought crossed my mind for to select the option where it will auto select gateway for me, it auto selected London which I assumed would fail again but I tried login in none the less and it actually worked so I would recommend that, maybe it was a fluke but it could work for others.

TLDR: Change the Gateway to Auto select your server.
