Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.
" The issue is that the skillchecks happen immediately rather than gradually witht he real checks happening at end game when gear finally reaches diminishing returns. In the beginning gear plays so much of a role it is the difference between a long drawn out fight and a simple spam kill. In order for mechanical skillchecks to be meaningful, gear cannot play such a role that it minimizes them to the point you can basically skip them |

When I read a post from someone like this person, I feel their pain.
Hyped POE 1 player hoping POE 2 is more POE 1 but better in every way. Unfortunately not, and I'm also frustrated. This experience with POE 2 has make me appreciate the fun D4 can be and all that game now needs is a good end game. I'm at the end of Act 2 at the 2nd checkpoint of the dreadnought. I'm quite positive a lot of players just quite the game in that zone. Yes the game is in early access but a lot more needs to be done with mobs, checkpoints due to map size, loot, balance, respec costs etc, etc. Let's see how the devs respond to this overwhelming negative feedback. 2nd patch incoming with changes. Sad, sad, just sad and it's not even a week in. Lol |

all this crying is so funny i am not even a good player and i am in maps working full time and playing when i can. There is no game with this amount of different bosses and mechanics. I am fine when i need 30 minutes for a harder boss to kill and then get it done and feel good. I feel like alot of no arpg fans bought this game and dont like it. who would have guessed that? :)
The poe 1 boys are the same they thought this going to be poe 1 in hd but they forget that poe 1 is still there, its not like you cant play it they will still update poe 1 and i believe poe 1 will have more players in 6 months with the next season. And then its early access 70% of the game is not even out calm down and play something else until its finished. Trust a bit in GGG they will adjust stuff for the gameplay not for crying players |

" Comments like this are a fun laugh. I don't agree with your feedback = Crying. It's early access they'll make changes he says.....but also doesn't want feedback because that's crying. No feedback = No changes. |

I feel like the difficulty is exactly where it should be.
The problem is PoE1 players approaching this game like it's an expansion of PoE1. It's a completely different game and GGG has said that it would be more difficult and take longer to complete the campaign. You knew what you were getting yourself into. I already expected a souls-like feel to PoE2 and I was not disappointed. Quite the opposite. The bosses are well designed and the fights were amazing. There are a few issues with certain bosses like the Act2 boss, the "wind" mechanic where it's not immediately obvious what you should be doing. Other than that, I love the game and couldn't be happier. I don't want them to turn it into a copy of PoE1. If PoE2 isn't for you, just play PoE1. And I don't mean that in a bad way. It just sounds from your post that you want to play PoE1. |

" I would imagine there are regular players that never played PoE having similar thoughts and struggles. There's over-lapping feedback for the most part. The thing is people that like it, defend it but the people that think it can be adjusted say it needs to be adjusted. The people that think it's fine take it personally. PoE1 players likely approached this game like it's an expansion because that's exactly what they told us up until last year (4 years total of telling the community it's an expansion). They kept taking resources from PoE1 while telling the community it will be worth it. So the expectation is totally the fault of GGG here. Last edited by Relationship#0359 on Dec 10, 2024, 5:35:07 PM

" This is actually the best point. It's not just POE1, although that seems impossible to drill into the "LOLUBAD" rageaholics. Literally, every ARPG since post-d2 had an easy campaign. Some hard parts sure, some rough bosses, etc. but this is a GENRE-WIDE thing. The idea of saying "we tried to make the best ARPG we could" (which yes they have said this) then proceeding to go against the grain of the entire genre (SUPER DRAGGED-OUT, and notably harder than expected campaign)...just weird. I mean taking risks with design choices is fair game, but if nothing else the LENGTH of the campaign is just factually not aligned with a SEASON BASED ARPG STYLE. I'm still playing, 56 hours in, still having fun, but I really don't know if I'd clump this with the laundry list of ARPGs I've played over the years. I've also never been less incentivized to make an alt. Another 20-30 hours of campaign? Maybe I just play a diff game when I want to try more builds iuno. Mobile games have better trading...

" Sry but all the feedback here is just not productive. its just crying nothing else quitting because the first boss is too hard. This game is not finished and will get updated all the time. But they have to check metrics check statistics they have internally. The game needed more currency -> it got updated now it needs: - more checkpoints like dreadnought (no cp at all) is bad - Maptab - ascendancy respec - free respec in campaign - more rare mob spawns - better bossdrops - more unique drops - more jewell drops - other ways to get ascendancy points (most people never liked ultimatum and sanctuary) and more .... All this will come i am 100% certain even without crying the internet Last edited by Karacay#1174 on Dec 10, 2024, 5:40:39 PM

" It's funnier because you believe you have the perspective required to dictate what is and isn't crying and what is or isn't constructive feedback for GGG. Even if the tone of a post is complaint I'd imagine there's a takeaway GGG can make that leads to adjustments. Last edited by Relationship#0359 on Dec 10, 2024, 5:39:15 PM

Bugs and genuine feedback aside I don't understand the hate.
In short, yes its hard, yes you're going to die, yes you have to learn game mechanics. A lot of people don't want to learn and want games to spoon-feed them. I have no doubt its hard for people because they cant go straight to a website and minmax a character and learn nothing. I have embraced the hard and I'm progressing and find it rewarding, awesome game. If you hate it, you don't have to play it. Last edited by areed#6794 on Dec 10, 2024, 5:52:27 PM
