Almost correct. It detects when there is a loading screen then it parks first 2 cores of your CPU if it survives the loading screen it then gives you all your cores back so you have them during gameplay. If poe2 freeze's during the loading ng screen it sets poe2 to realtime process (this gives it priority I believe) and recovers the game from freezing. This all happens seamlessly and you never notice it. I just looked at the log for poeuncrasher and my game attempted to freeze 5 times in the last 2 hrs and I didnt even notice.

I highly recommend the program.

Anyone using PoEUncrasher could explain why it still crashes in my PC?

I leave the app running, I can see on the prompt that it parked my cores. However on the loading screens when the sound goes weird because the game is crashing, PoEUncrasher does not seem to recover from the crash. And I CTD. No freezes, just CTD. Tried versions 1.2 and 1.3, no success....

Any help?

How does removing 2 core from affinity making it so that the system is fine and just poe 2 remains frozen factor into this unified theory of yours?

What about the people on Linux? It's still Windows at fault there right? Or are entire Linux distros just faulty too?

Hello everyone i am making a follow up on my first post here from yesterday.
I can confirm that i have completely eliminated all freezes/hard crashing for myself, However it required a few specific things to be changed.

In windows disable "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" under advanced graphics settings and then restart pc. In game set renderer to vulkan, Vsync to adaptive, nvidia reflex off, fsr no upscaling, foreground and background fps to no higher then 60fps, and everything else defualt. Setting fps cap above 60fps immediatly started causing my pc to freeze again.

I would recommend anyone experiencing pc freeze after updating windows to try this exact setup. If you try this just make sure that nothing is being written to your drive at the time just incase your pc still freezes, as it can cause corrupted files. Other than that there should be almost no risk to your actual pc hardware.

You're absolutely full of shit, you didn't test 30 games. Also, if you do a bit of research you'll see that there are many games that have issues with 24H2 and even Microsoft has communicated this themeselves.

I really don't understand why people in this thread are so damn stubborn. Just downgrade and you'll see for yourself how the issue is resolved.

Hey exiles. I just sat on my toilet and thought of everyone who crashes like me and needs a full pc reset after spending 30$. Feels good to be here after 2-3 weeks, right where I belong, as I might as well have flushed $30 down the toilet along with my goods.

PoEUncrasher doesn't help everyone because some people (like me) need to disable more than 2 cores to get the game running.

I park 9 out of 16 cores to run this game. Everyone's system has different limits and this game is pushing everyone's systems to their limits.

Some people can run the game with just 2 cores disabled. Some people need to disable more. I don't know if uncrasher can be configured to park more cores or not?
