POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I’m on 23H2 fresh install - 13700k 4090 and my pc completely crash just by launching POE2… everything started once I updated my Nvidia drivers and decided to roll back to previous ones…. I feel so stupid for updating since everything was working flawlessly since December 6!

Now I’m just concerned my 4090 is damaged by all this crashes and bad drivers! Tested my rams nothing wrong thanks god. Not sure what to do next - just waiting for Nvidia new January drivers and pray it fixes these issues

Do you have latest microcode for 13/14gen? They unstable by default...
Well I updated also yesterday the ME thing but not the motherboard bios yet as it keep saying it can flash the latest one… honestly updating things in IT is a pain in the ass and we should never do it unless something is broken

I’m really pissed I went against my rule because the game was always showing your drivers are outdated

I have also believed that this is driver/OS issue more than software (game) issue. Usermode program should be able to freeze OS.
Most users here are - "this is not 24H2 issue!" but it is, i go back to 23H2 - no freeze, Windows 10 - no freeze, only Windows 11 24H2 freezes. I think original issue here is related to Ryzen CPUs + NVIDIA GPUs on Windows 24H2, all other freezes/crashes are not related to this original issue, different cause (maybe intel oxidation :D).

Jesus dude, thank you so much. I thought I was crazy not seeing more people say this. The issue is 24H2.

I see so many people saying "Same problem, blablabla windows 11 24H2" and I wonder why the fk they have not tried downgrading.

I'm sure people experience problems with other versions of windows and even in Linux distros. But the AMD cpu freeze is 100% related to Windows 24H2 and it's not even a question
In my case, rolling back to 23H2 solved the freezing issue. Anyone who says it's the fault of the GGG is mistaken. The operating system should never allow internal software to freeze the entire system, even if such software is designed with that exact purpose
Hotfix driver from nvidia did not help.

For me when it crashes then it will crash again and again. Usually just new instance of map will fix it. So I suppose maybe something between instance and shaders.

Using the PoEUnCrasher app and switching from DX12 to Vulkan - not seen a crash in days, now.
+1

Is there anyone with an AMD card who has this issue?

The recommended system requirements for Path of Exile 2 are:

OS: Windows 10 or newer - CHECK
CPU: Intel Core i5-10500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3700X - CHECK
Memory: 16 GB RAM - CHECK
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600XT, or Intel Arc A770 - CHECK
DirectX: Version 12 - CHECK
Storage: 100 GB available space - CHECK
Network: Broadband internet connection - CHECK
Solid state storage is also recommended. - CHECK

^If you have AT LEAST all that, the game should run fine on default settings.

It doesn't.

GGG needs to fix their game. Period.

Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD
