POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
" It’s behavior that you except from Bungie or activision or blizzard. Get the bag and who cares. Never thought GGG would behave this way. Sucks to be in this minority of ppl but damn is it a shame. |

Same issue for me. Just put together a new PC with fresh Windows 11 install, newest drivers and BIOS update. PoE2 freezes my PC within seconds of launching the game (can't even load into account sign-up). The system and game hangs while the GGG gears are spinning on the splash screen. After 1-2 mins the system reboots.
AMD Ryzen 5 7600 MSI B650 Tomahawk Nvidia GTX 4060 32GB(2x16) DDR5 @ EXPO 6000 Windows 24H2 (Windows won't let me roll back to test previous version) Tried a few other games and some benchmarks / stress tests and everything is stable, cool and runs fine with the exception of PoE2. Sent DxDiag report to Timothy_GGG. |

+1 on this problem. Entire PC freezes when loading into new zones.

Disregard my earlier garbage suggestion anyone who found it i'm sorry. The crashes have returned 10 fold. every 30 min to desktop for me now :')

GG's guys.
The second I click LOGIN on the main screen, it pegs my cpu to 100% even with all the affinity set on process lasso and every other tweak - and crashes. I'm actually not even able to load into the game to even try to hit a waypoint or nothing. Login = Brick. What other games are cool like POE2 that I can buy that actually work? I feel like I was just schemazzed for my 30usd here. |

What sucks is GGG is going on holiday so this probably won't get fixed til after. So fuck all of us I guess.

For me crashes are gone. If I switch to DX12 they are back but gone with Vulkan. I am not using any workarounds anymore(except exclusions with windows security) but the freeze occurred often just few days ago still. I mean I still get one freeze if I don't play for 4-6h but after reboot gone again.
And my Windows is latest Windows 11 Insider Developer build but I mean I had them with this just few days ago and still get them with DX12. I don't think it's about what version of Windows one has as people get them with Windows 10 as well. Last edited by shaga#1453 on Dec 18, 2024, 7:20:39 PM

my solution was to disable global c-state in bios. Never had a crash again

Update 0.1.0e made crashes 10 times worse. I can't even login anymore (this on Windows 11 22H2 with 7800x3D, not even 24H2)

If I change the application to full screen instead of window full screen and move PoE2 to the background with Alt+Tab, etc. each time at the load screen, it no longer freezes. I rely on the task manager CPU usage and background audio to play to see if it has finished loading. Sorry for my poor English.
