I've only been Experiencing Hard Crashes, can't Alt-Tab can't AltF4, I have to power the rig down manually, has happened at least 8 times today ranging from trying to loading into a new area to just trying to get to the character select screen, I understand this is an ongoing issue, I'm just worried about my rig and imma take a break till this is fixed cause I don't want to mess my rig up......
My Spec are NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8Gb Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor 32Gb B550 GAMING X V2 Hope this is actually being addressed.... |

I haven't had crashes like this in any other game just Path of Exile 2. If it's some conflict between Windows 11 24h2 and the game or the processors I'm hoping it can get fixed from grinding gear games but is anyone crashing on Windows 10? Cuz if this is going to take a while to get fixed or might not even get fixed I'd like to know if that's a waste of time and effort

" Please update us if that helped or not! GGG has also added this issue to the Known Issues list now. |

Been having the game locking up the PC during loading instances very frequently. It is, in my opinion, related to the CPU, possibly by somehow 'overloading' causing it to completely lockup. It is very difficult to pinpoint what is causing this as we all know, so I did some experimentation.
Firstly, I parked a couple of cores. This doesn't make much difference, although on 2 occasions the game itself entered a non-responsive state, but allowed me to close it via Task Manager. I then changed to Windowed Mode, and switched off multi-core in the game. On a 5800X3D, this caused the game to dramatically drop in framerate, especially in a town instance, and to a lesser extent in combat instances. However, I have yet to see a hardlock by doing this and I played the game successfully for 4 hours straight, something I have not been able to do previously. Now the game experience is noticeably inferior - but it is playable. This would suggest to me that, during loading instances, something in the game code is causing a buffer issue, perhaps some form of infinite loop due to a resource not loading for some reason - there are numerous examples of errors relating to DX12. Vulkan, unfortunately still crashes, but I have not seen any similar error windows appear, so I cannot say for certain that is is definitely linked. My best guess is that during an asset load, something is causing a loop, which is locking the CPU in an endless cycle. As it doesn't appear to be brand exclusive, it is highly likely a code issue, which I believe should be classed as a High Priority case. I hope GGG are looking into this... Hello guys, in my case the same thing happens to me but without crashing the entire PC... it freezes for several seconds (sometimes 5, 10, 20) without moving and then everything accelerates quickly and I appear dead etc etc
This happens all the time... there is no clear pattern, since even if you are alone on the map with nothing around it happens, in the city with more people too, in certain fights... but it happens all the time... even if it doesn't change of map. I have an Rtx 4060ti 8gb, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Intel i7 12700, 1tb ssd disk, windows 11 with its latest update... all drivers updated... with the graphic settings at minimum within the game... I tried directx12, 11 and even vulkan Nothing works... I tried creating a new character... it's the same... I tried changing servers, nothing improves From what I was able to check, what increases extremely is the "Network" bar... as if it were a server lag issue as such... also at times the CPU usage reaches almost 100%... although everything The rest remains stable, below 50% usage... the shaders also reach 100, but it doesn't last long. I hope they hurry up to solve it in the coming days, since the game is completely unplayable in this state. |

The 2024-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 claims to fix something that sounds a lot like this - an issue where new threads could enter an infinite loop rather than run normally. Downloading and installing now, will report back once I have some time in game to tell if it helped (though I can probably get a quick guess if it stops destroying other audio while loading).

Same issue - PC completely locks up on loading screens (random which ones, but always when switching zones), have to hard reset w/ power switch.
