Hard crashing PC locks up

Had the same issue yesterday during launch, I updated the BIOS to the latest one with INTEL defaults.

So far testing by jumping between multiple zones fast no stutters, no freezing, no hard locks (20 zone changes in 30 sec)

Multicore enhancement could be the issue (MCE)

It is very possible that this problem becomes more likely to occur after you've had the game open for a good amount of time. People are saying all of these different tweaks worked for them, but only for a few hours to a day. I personally had this happen the first time I opened the game and tried to change the renderer from DX12 to Vulkan. Literally less than 2 minutes of the client open. Next two times were GGG intro screen on game launch and a loading screen teleporting between zones in game.

Generally, I think most of the people here are on their motherboards' latest BIOS revisions. If not then they should be unless there's a widely known issue with an unstable beta BIOS for their board or something. For someone like me with a new motherboard (x870 Tomahawk Wifi) that just came out in like September, I have no option but to use a beta BIOS. I sincerely doubt it matters when it comes to the PoE crash though. It'd be stupid for me not to run latest BIOS with a 9800x3D.

The point is, they probably aren't adding this to the pinned thread of known bugs yet because they simply don't know whether or not the game is entirely to blame for the cause of system freezes. With all the different possible reasons for the crash they might even have to wait for Microsoft to release an update, which would take forever. I essentially have no hope that this would be fixed anytime soon, especially given that people claim to have had this issue in PoE 1 since earlier this year.

Delayed emails for Verification, Unlock Codes, Password resets etc.
Migration out of Solo-Self Found leagues is temporarily disabled.
Investigating cases where some players experience crashes and have to restart their PCs.
Endless loading screens sometimes while in a party.

Still no faith. :|

This just happened to me for the 6th time. Full pc freeze during zone loading. Posting in solidarity :)

+1 Win 11 24h2 7600x 4070 ti super. CPU/fan usage blows up loading the game and when attempting to tp. If left for more than a few seconds without alt f4’ing the pc locks up and needs manual power reset. I just wanna be able to play :’(

Same it happens for me, in Balbala the Traitor Boss Fight (ACT 2), when the gas fills the arena i have my whole computer getting shutdown.

My specs: AMD R5 5600 and RX 7600 8GB, 24 GB of RAM, latest amd drivers , running in Windows 11 24H2.

EDIT: I am using DX12.

I am getting 3 types of crashes.
1 crash directly to desktop
2 crash with message in game missing textures, then I can exit to desktop
3 This crash freezes my pc can’t pull up task manager have to hard reset with button. This is the worse crash because you can damage your ssd.

It’s strange that the devs don’t want to acknowledge the issue. There hundreds of people on steam forum complaining about the same issue.

Adding my PC to the crash pile. Happens when trying to move into a different zone, but not always.

CPU: i9-11900k
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 24H2
OS build 26100.2314
RAM: 32GB

Already tried limiting my FPS to under 100, disabling dynamic resolution and up-scaling, was going to try Vulkan but it locked upon selection, had to hard cycle PC.

When this happens, can't CTRL-ALT-DEL, ALT-TAB, or ALT-F4, have to power cycle PC using power button. Sound either drones or loops, and mouse pointer can have normal movement, highly lagged movement, or none at all.

I am having the same issue as everyone else here

i cant even play at 1080p without having the game lock up multiple times at waypoints.

side note: i can only play in direct 11

Same here, posting specs... Win11 Pro 24H2 with 9800X3D and 3080Ti on a X670E. Both JEDEC and Expo profiles fail. PoE1 has the same issue. Nice to see it on their top 4 to fix.
