Hard crashing PC locks up

Hello yes this is me as well.

Second. I let it happen a handful of times, the complete PC freeze, and don't want to risk continuing to have to do this every session. Please look into this and let us know what we can do to fix this. From what I played so far PoE2 is great.

I have same problem from PoE1, thought they will fix it in PoE2 but not.
I'm using 7800x3d, windows 11 24H2 and RTX 4070 Super.

Just happened to me when I entered the Manor for the first time, pc froze had to reset hold powerbutton to reset.

5700x here, happens to me too. Seems completely random, could play for 6 hours straight with no BSOD\Freezing, and then get 2 or 3 in 10 minutes

Try these settings: Vulkan, Multi Threading Off. I don't know if these others are necessary but I also have Foreground FPS capped at 60 and lowered all the detail settings.

I could barely play for 10 minutes before and was randomly crashing all the time. On these settings I was able to play for a couple hours without crashing.

Same issue, realllly doesn't feel good for a brand new machine to be doing this.

Has happened to me 10+ times at this point

Win 11 Pro 24H2

Edit: switching off engine multithreading seems to do the trick as others have mentioned. Performance hit is rough but at least the game is playable.
