Hard crashing PC locks up

my solution for stutters, maybe it will help with your FREEZE problem guys!

"If you experience stutters in PoE2 DO this:

1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys)
2) Do NOT change NVIDIA control panel settings for PoE2.
3) Do NOT disable Full screen optimization in EXE files of the game.
4) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system [in my case opened Chrome cause stutters every 2-3 seconds]
5) Turn OFF NVIDIA Reflex in game options tab.

Info for devs - mostly problem located in working browsers IDK how this correlate with PoE2 performance but it is!

My system: AMD 5600X / Nvidia RTX 3070 / 32GB DDR4 RAM / 2x NVME M2 / WINDOWS 10 Pro / Steam Client"
Had the same issue yesterday during launch, I updated the BIOS to the latest one with INTEL defaults.

So far testing by jumping between multiple zones fast no stutters, no freezing, no hard locks (20 zone changes in 30 sec)

Multicore enhancement could be the issue (MCE)

Stutters aren't the problem. When in the zones, game is smooth as anything. It's crashing on the loading screens

I had the same issue. Specs are 7800X3D, RTX4070, Windows 11 24H2.

I have rolled back my windows 11 to 23H2 and the problem is now gone. I have not had this crash again so far. If it happens again I will post again.

Please try to roll back your windows version to 23H2 if you can to try and fix this issue for the time being. Hopefully The devs either at Microsoft or GGG can fix this issue.

Posting an update to this.

I have been playing the game for over 12 hours now and have NOT had this pc lockup crash occur again.

Either way it is still ridiculous to have to roll back or re-install Windows just to play game. But it did work for me.

When I did my rollback, I noticed that my Nvidia driver was also rolled back so I re-installed the latest Nvidia drivers again. Maybe this re-install of the driver may help some of you?
I had the same problem with PoE1.
I was hoping it would improve with PoE2, but it's happening more frequently with PoE2.
I hope GGG can fix it soon.

CPU: Ryzen 7 8700G
GPU: RTX 4070 super
I made my own post, what triggers this for me is alt+tab'ing during a loading screen.
any bug fixes for: Exception
Your pack file needs to be repaired. Please run the PackCheck.exe repair tool to fix it.

It is crashing on loading screen, it is crashing during the game.
It is hard crashing the whole PC.

I also get stutters during the game.

My PC is a 9800X3D/4070 with fresh windows install and all drivers up to date.
