Hard crashing PC locks up

I've separated one of the instances of the loading screen freezes out from the Client.txt in Path of Exile 2\logs. Maybe that can help whoever is going to look at this issue at GGG.

I have the same problem, at this point i can't even get far enough to change any settings. Hard crashing on login screen.

This is why I've uninstalled and bought the copy on PSN. I'm not bricking my laptop for the game.

Almost the same issue here. Happened 2 times for me once yesterday and once today. My pc freezes when loading in different area, I can still hear the loading music and barely move my mouse but after a minute or so of waiting and not shutting down my pc bluescreens with error "driver power state failure". After that the game seems to work semi-normally except that on every loading screen my cpu spikes to 100% utilization.

I was able to level up from 3 to 22 and am currently in Act 2 without experiencing any crashes. This took me around 7–9 hours. I even tried to force a crash by restarting the game multiple times, transitioning into new zones and areas, and using the town portal frequently, but my PC remained stable. I’m cautiously optimistic that this might have resolved the issue for me.

I was also playing with my brother, who uses a Lenovo notebook with an AMD Ryzen processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3080 mobile GPU. His game didn’t crash either, though he’s running Windows 11 23H2, which might also contribute to its stability.

In any case, I hope whatever method works for you allows everyone to enjoy this game as much as I am because I’m having an absolute blast.

My system is still running an older build:

It's not limited to 24h2 builds. I'm freezing/BSOD'ing on 23H2 as well.

I do have the latest nvidia, BIOS and mobo drivers installed, as well as all the latest Windows updates. For some reason that 24H2 build is not in my Windows Update list yet.

Unfortunately this crash happened to me so many times that it caused my Windows install to completely corrupt. Wasn't happy that I had to format my harddrive last night and completely start from scratch. It doesn't seem like Microsoft even has the option to get the 24H2 update anymore and for good reason.

I reinstalled windows to 23H2 and the game is working completely fine.

Previously had the issue when on 24H2 with a 7800x3D chip.

I was going crazy with this, as I was the only one on my discord having this issue. I was thinking that maybe my card is overheating or something, but looks like I'm not alone with this. I also have 5800X3D amd CPU. I hope that GGG team will be able to look into that issue, as it looks like happening only in this game. It's always when is some loading screen, never at anything else. Whole PC freezes and mouse is mooving super slowly sometimes jumping from place to place after a while it was moved.
