Hard crashing PC locks up

Hello same issue ir...

Ryzen 5 9600X
RTX 3070

Hope fix soon, good luck to solve this issue.
got the same issue all over again.
But now I saw something...

When we got the stuck loading/crash/freeze the
client somehow open another instance of client
and then we get stuck/freeze.

This happens when using portal
moving to another map
or even starting the game sometimes...

But as long as you created the Process Lasso rule,
you may be able to play for longer periods till
u run into the bug all over again...

So far this is the only FIX for what is happening.
bump, windows 24h2 - i5 12400 - 3060ti
so far only upon entering clearfell encampment (by town portal)

edit: my last hard reset caused all my setting to reset to default and i switched to vulcan after, so far it seems to work

Have also had my pc lock up twice at the loading screen after character selection. Up to level 25, that is the only place it has happened so far.

7800x3d - 1080ti - Windows 11 24H2
Same Here : (Full PC Freeze often on loading screen)
It happens around every 2h maybe.

Ryzen 7 3800X / RTX 3080 TI / Windows 11 24H2
Game crashes when trying to use portal as others have stated.

W11 24H2
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RTX3070Ti
Yeah I hope they fix this soon
Hello, got same issue. Game is not very smooth, and sometimes freeze windows had to hard shutdown PC.

I also sometimes sees error message "BufferD3D12::BufferD3D12() CreatePlacedResourcesX failed" when game crashed

Windows Home 11 (10.0.26100 Build 26100)
CPU: 7800x3d
GPU: 4080 Super

Edit: I realized that usually the first game crashed with "BufferD3D12::BufferD3D12() CreatePlacedResourcesX failed" message.
If I try to start the game again after this message, the system will freeze completely at the loading page and will require a hard shutdown.
Hope this info helps.

An even smaller price to pay is if you refund the game, as I did. I respect GGG running one of the better free-to-play games and that this is early access. But since the cost of early access is CAD$40+, the least I expect is not to have to do their job (making the game not crash) for them.

Considering this is early access and states it plainly at the top of everything and wholly expect it to have issues and for those issues to be resolved I will happily invest my time and money into the game to allow the devs to do just that and deal with those issues as they come up.

More power to you for your refund, but I don't plan to cause I have faith in them to fix and make better.

I perfectly understand the value proposition of early access, and I'm not blaming GGG. But a video game isn't a religion, and payment shouldn't be an expression of 'faith'. GGG is a business, and the game is their product and/or service. From their point of view, it can't exist without payment coming from someone for something: that's fair. Likewise, from the player's POV there needs to be a playable game in order for GGG to have anyone's money - that's also fair. A game that hard-locks my PC might as well be no game at all (actually it's worse, since every time I have to power off my running PC, I incur a small but non-zero risk of damage or data loss).

That's why, without anger, my advice to anyone experiencing the hard-lock issue is to do what I did. I'll bet lots of people aren't affected (notably console players), GGG is still doing great, and if you want to show support, there's no reason not to wait until after they fix their issue.
