If you have new x870e taichi motherboard there is a new bios 3.15 that came out yesterday.

I hope to be able to play soon. All of my friends are teaching their ascendancies and already on cruel. And I can’t even play the game

" I have the nova. Saw this update last night. Any luck helping with the crashes? |

It was a little better few days ago. After yesterdays and todays patches it is more often.

Well, crashes/freezes still happen, but I discovered that if you remove the affinity from Core 0 and 1, the PC doesn't freeze and you can manually kill the process preventing a hard reset.
You obviously lose FPS by doing this, but since it's mostly on loading screens, if you want to, you can do it every single time you load a map. At least it's something. So yes, this is OBVIOUSLY something hard locking the CPU in PoE code. God knows what. Last edited by Shirofune#6303 on Dec 13, 2024, 10:28:40 AM

Any updates from GGG on this yet?

" Just flashed my bios to 3.15 and left everything stock except ram set to xmp. What’s new is the game mode but I left it stock disabled. I also didn’t touch the motherboard TDP 105 watts left stock disabled. I will be playing later on tonight. |

GUYS I MIGHT'VE FOUND A FIX FOR NOW
The problem MIGHT be how the windows power plan affects the game, maybe that's why some people have the problem and some dont depending on their plan. try putting your maximum processor usage in the power plan to 99%, you can do it via lasso too and make a custom plan that activates whenever you launch the game. I tried it for hours and I havent had a single freeze or crash. My PC was freezing all the time prior to this (possible fix). Last edited by THELEGENDOFREAK#0494 on Dec 13, 2024, 11:06:45 AM

" Power at 99% reduces the frequency at which your CPU operates, effectively downclocking it. Yes, it obviously has an effect, but its also not a solution. Anything that involves losing performance isn't a solution, but just a workaround. If you want to avoid freezes, set affinity to don't use CPU0 and CPU1. That way, even if the game freezes while loading, your Windows doesn't. |
