POE 2 early access paywall
GGG could make early access completely free and people would still find a way to find complain. I guarantee it.

Hey, anyone has a spare key for a POE1 EA Supporter? :)

" There's one little problem though: I don't need any store points. And why should I be forced to purchase points (or anything else for that matter), to gain beta testing access to a game that claims it is free to play? |
" Not sure if its possible to sound more entitled if you tried. "An it harm none, do what you will"
" It was 13 or so years ago for POE 1, but it isn't now for POE 2 as the company is already on a very solid footing. I really didn't want to go there, but if you can read their financial statements you will understand. |
" Think of it as buying 300 shop coins for POE1 and getting a POE2 code for free then. |
" Then wait for the official release in 6 months. Why are you complaining about something thats no even forced on you? Just go play some free game in the meantime jeez. |

At some point everyone will have access, but initially they need to filter the users somehow, to let more users in gradually, same way they did with Ruthless.
Letting everyone in from the beginning would result in servers capacity issues, a lot of complaints, and a week later, after everyone finish campaign and a bunch of maps, an almost dead game. And that's the scenario where the game works perfectly. Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Nov 24, 2024, 10:35:36 AM

" Best part is these guys who complain about 30$ price tag will be the first ones to cry about server issues if GGG let them all in on day 1 lmao |
" This, that's how they did it with POE1, once the servers stabilized and initial serious issues were ironed out, they started giving out free keys like Candy to Streamers for give aways, or give aways on the Forums. It's a "throttle"...and they going to slowly add more and more free access as they turn it up over the coming months. |
