POE 2 early access paywall
" You could wait 6 month+ and beta test it for free if you like. Thing is past player behaviours heavily indicate that the players will be begging for access to the game even if it costs thousands of dollars, and even more of the players would be begging for access at any price point. Thing is, no one is forcing you to pay, the characters you would be playing are unlikely to see use past EA so there isn't really incentive to race or build wealth. Ancestral Bond. This thread has been enjoyable thus far. I approve.

You get 30 dollars worth of shop coins, you get fair value for use in either POE or POE2...in addition to early access.
POE had a cost upfront for early access, and nearly everything (outside any MTX and game knowledge) was reset before official release. I truly don't understand the complaints. If you don't want to pay don't, its an extensive testing phase that you can opt into and get some perks for doing so (stuff you spend your MTX coins on). What the problem is? |

People desperately looking for things to complain about, eh.
I see this "WhY dO wE HaVE tO PAYY 30 dOLLArS" complaint everywhere and it's starting to get really annoying. |
|
" Precisely! The absence of any kind of exclusive reward for testing services makes the paywall even more absurd. |

" They've been doing this a long time. I'm quite certain that their decision to do it this way is backed by actual experience with the process. Can you tell us how many game labels / companies you've successfully run for over a decade? If you cannot afford the $30 then I'd urge you to question your own self-management, before knocking a successful development company's choices with their own product. The game will be free to play upon release. |

" No, this thread isn't about affordability, which has already been addressed in the posts above " Thank you, professor, we already know that. So should be the public beta. |
|
"So spend the $30 or wait for the release. Ease E |
