Alternate game mode for casual gamers
" Actually I do, many years of first hand experience. And it would. The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

" Doubtful, Being a yes man to the customer is always right, and trying to make your company for everyone, rather than specializing, is not how you succeed. This is known, by any successful business model. Mash the clean

" Indeed. Apparently GGG just barely avoided bankruptcy from all the customer departures following the release of Ruthless. The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

" If GGG was specializing, there would only be Ruthless mode. The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

" Okay, why is Bloomberg selling their Terminals for like 20k/year instead of making them affordable to a broader audience, thus increasing their revenue? Why do Michelin places often have dresscodes and 150+ dollar/plate menus? Why does Porsche not produce cars that cost 15k? |

" How many models does Porsche have? The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

" It's exactly the same, and this game has shifted away from challenging play for a while ever since the expedition changes to flasks and archnemesis league being forced into the game even though most players hate it, now its just about how many random modifiers can combine when you don't expect it to oneshot you. They deliberately design the game to just randomly oneshot you and not tell you why or how it happened. And people are tired of that, which is why the desire for this easier mode exists. And it's why they're annoyed at death penalties in the game, because its designed to randomly kill you at any point with some crazy combo of things. And its because of these random oneshots that people insta-logout in hardcore, because they know that the game is designed this way. Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Oct 5, 2024, 1:01:13 PM

" Its specialized to hardcore and challenging. Much like SSF, and HC. The base game has its challenges, but is approachable. (Easy for me even) You are being purposefully obtuse, or dont know the design of this game because you are new. Look to anyone who quotes "vision" and you could easily understand what crowd the creator and developers specialize this game towards. For your reference: 2014 Reddit Ask Me Anything From Chris Wilson: "The game is designed to be difficult because that’s how we believe action RPGs are meant to be played. It’s not just about power, it’s about learning and mastery. The satisfaction comes from that gradual mastery, not from getting everything easily." 2017 Fall of Oriath interview: "We always try to walk a line where the game is tough, but fair. It’s important to us that players feel the thrill of overcoming challenges. We try to make sure there are build options for every type of player, but the game itself is meant to push you to be better." 2018 in Delve league: "We don’t want Path of Exile to feel easy. We want it to feel like it’s constantly testing you, like it’s throwing challenges at you that you have to work out how to overcome." 2019 interview with PCGamesN "We believe Path of Exile should be a game where challenge and difficulty are a core part of the experience. When players overcome hard content, they should feel like they’ve achieved something significant, and that’s why we’re careful about making things too easy or casual." 2020 Developer blog "Power creep is something we’re aware of, but we’re very cautious about it. We always want the game to feel challenging, regardless of how powerful players become. Every new piece of content has to fit into that philosophy, ensuring that the game retains its core challenge." 2021 Interview with Exiled Cast “We want players to have access to powerful items, but we don’t want the game to be trivialized by them. The journey to finding or crafting those items should be difficult and engaging. It’s part of the philosophy that nothing in Path of Exile should feel like it’s just handed to you. That’s what makes the loot chase meaningful." 2022 in Manifesto “Our design philosophy has always been to reward players for mastering tough content, and we believe that overcoming challenges should feel rewarding. If we made the game too easy, it would lose the appeal of that reward.” Mash the clean

I understand The Vision™ and that vision is flawed when it comes to increasing additional business revenue.
The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

" None for 15k. POE also has 16 modes right now, none of which are the casual mode. |
