Alternate game mode for casual gamers

Are you really comparing a 10 day event with a completely seperate league? Also GGG makes sure that events like Gauntlet can only be held after a certain time frame, so that the league economy isn't effected.
What do u think is the impact of a few thousand players leaving 10 days for Gauntlet at a time where most ppl stopped playing the league anyway? Also it's players from all leagues, SC, HC and SSF players that participate, so the actual impact on SC trade is pretty minimal. (not to mention that people play Gauntlet that already quit the current league)

I don't care for this topic at all, but calling people hypocrites for playing Gauntlet but not wanting a separate "easy mode" league is very close minded.

i am definitely biased because the people who come in here shooting down this suggestion usually state the 2 issues i mentioned, yet enjoy/participate in gauntlet.

1. "all the people leaving for POEasy will hurt the economy". - you guys left for gauntlet. arent you guys hurting the economy too?

hypocrite

2. "if easy mode exists, everyone will tend to want to play easy mode" - you guys went and played a more extremely harder mode of the game. going against what you even mentioned

hypocrite

is a 10 day league the same as an entirely separate league? of course not.

as for what you mentioned. "What do u think is the impact of a few thousand players leaving 10 days for Gauntlet at a time where most ppl stopped playing the league anyway? Also it's players from all leagues, SC, HC and SSF players that participate, so the actual impact on SC trade is pretty minimal."

i would say isnt it the same with easy mode?

people who are asking for easy mode are more or less BORED or FED UP with regular POE and just want to chill. you can consider them as inactive players to begin with. in fact they could be so disinterested that they might not even want to play POE anymore. in such case, how does these players hurt the economy?

even you can say that the gauntlet numbers arent big enough to hurt the economy. how many people would play poEasy?

i would even argue people who would play poEasy could be weak ass players who probably dont even get 40/40 and would quit mid league anyway.

and if we're talking about people quitting mid league. there are many players who are GOOD at the game that quit EARLY league once they hit 40/40. i would say they impact the economy more.

in fact i m kinda pissed that many people already quit the league and i cant buy the stuff they have listed for sale. but it happens. for whatever reason, players would just choose to no longer play POE.

it doesnt matter if its due to poEasy. they could be playing HC/ruthless/SSF or heck even a different game or not even game at all.

so what i m getting at is they people pushing against this suggestion have very little room for argument and the few solid arguments that they use are stuff that they themselves dont subscribe to.

if you're not fine with that, thats fine. maybe calling them hypocrites might be harsh or inaccurate, but they did prove that they would go against their own arguments.

Gauntlet (a limited event) equivalency to their ideas .... lmfao...

And then playing gauntlet on day 62 of regular league is somehow against everyone wanting to play easy mode....

Just when you thought posts couldnt get any more ridiculous.

Really does make more sense with each post why these same people think "melee bad" "true melee problems with invulnerability rare" "true melee problem with amber nodes" "t17 bad" "new spectre bad" "maven memory game bad" "uniques bad now" "crafting bad" etc...

Is there a reason for you posting this? You've posted it in other threads as well which have no relation.

Funny how this almost exact same question got deleted by support despite violating no rules whatsoever.

(I record everything here) For this exact reason and its unreasonable that i have to do that to simply discuss a videogame.

I can see that u're angry about those particular players, but the comparison with Gauntlet is still very far fetched and doesn't strengthen ur argument, rather hurts it imo.

When u say an Easy mode would have the same impact as Gauntlet with pulling players from trade, that's just not true.

1. Gauntlet is only 10 days, afterwards ppl have to play the normal modes again (or quit)

2. Gauntlet doesn't start with the League start, so there's ample time to trade with those later participants

3. Gauntlet is played by people of the whole PoE Playerbase, not only SC Trade. That's very different to ur suggested mode, because those people would already play the current "easiest" version of PoE, hence SC Trade.

I don't want to engage in this topic any further, 'cause I don't have a strong opinion about it. That's why I kinda ignore ur arguments about the easy mode overall.
Just think about comparisons that don't make alot of sense and give people grounds to shut ur suggestion down, because u're angry with them.

/edit: If u want to make an argument for an "Easy Mode" league that starts 2 Months after the regular league start, I think u would have alot less players complaining about the suggestion. It would be kind of like an Event.

They are broad platitudes, that make no sense, ignore context, and false when context(sometimes extremely revealing context) is taken into account

Much like the hypocrite conclusion

that ignores context(multiple times), false, and ultimately makes no sense.

All used as "support" of why easy mode should exist.

Context and specifics matter, especially when discussing Path of Exile and several mechanics.

Hope this helps!

What relevance does it have to this thread? You are referencing an entirely unrelated locked thread.

Why? Its just a bunch of seemingly random quotes if i didn't point out one of them is referencing my locked thread.

Please help me understand as again (you keep posting it) not only in this thread but others.

There is a rule here to not:
● Antagonise others in an obnoxious manner

Repeatedly referencing that thread which again was locked due to rule violations of users i shall not call out here is a violation of this rule.

I'm honestly willing to lose my account to put an end to this.

If you are unable to see the reasoning and striking similarities behind this post then I suggest just moving on, I have provided context and reasoning, as well as referenced this exact thread.

Taking a snippet out of my post to apply only to you is not my fault. Nor does it represent what I say.

This is another example of ignoring context, you cant make this

Moderation has already been notified of this post(the one above you are responding to) and I was assured it does not violate code of conduct.

Hope we can continue to discuss this in relevancy and not derail this thread. Thank you!
