Its a bit of a bad/good point situation here. The OP is making a valid point.....but with all the wrong reasons clouding it up.
Trickster is almost the perfect ascendancy. Every node is quite strong and offers both defense and offense, PLUS they all can work in nearly any combination. I don't think there currently exists such a balanced and powerful ascendancy for any other class. Add into that the scaling opportunities innate to ES and we are left with a pretty damn OP ascendancy by comparison. It is not the ONLY class that can tackle everything, nor is it even the best class for all content. But, it is most certainly NOT balanced in terms of raw node power, utility, and compatibility when compared to "nearly" every other ascendancy. Honestly you know what would be 'great' for the game? Removing Iron Reflexes from the board. |

trickster is very good because of the action speed ascendency passive
a lot of things could be improved if we had another way to prvent action speed from dropping too low the whole design of beeing slowed down so much without counter is horrible and stupid the delirium debuff zones are another bad thing... outside of boss skills that are clearly indicated or have an audio warning, things shoudl always be counterable in some way at a reasonable cost ofc. |

Trickster is probably one of the most broken ascendancies right now though, not only does it get immunity to all slows but it also starts in such a good place on the skill tree so you can basically get 96% suppression for free just from your ascendancy+suppress nodes and chance to suppress is lucky mastery, then the last 4% on gloves as an eldritch implicit. That's insanely busted and just lets you use any gear you want, which means they can just go CI and wear full ES gear and make stupidly overpowered builds. T17s are still unbalanced trash, the mods range from non-existant to some builds to instant skip, forcing you to delete chaos orbs. Who thought deleting currency to roll your map would be fun game design? Oh and maven interferes with player apparently still spams heal every 1-2 seconds so that's funny. Not only are all the mods unbearable but the maps themselves suck to run, they have annoying enemies and the bosses can get insane with certain map mods. And if you use scarab of bisection then you get 0 loot lol
OP is right to be angry about all this, t17 design atm is a complete joke. |

" And this is where the thread stops being valid. This just simply isn't true, unless you build a REALLY good trickster. Same could be said about building a REALLY good any other build for t17s. The ONLY thing an innate trickster has that makes him "ignore" a few mods is the action speed. All the rest needs to be built on him, and can be built on ANY character. Plenty of other classes can and do go CI. |
