Recent Economic Abuse

"
Well, generating 1,000 divines per hour in this case is excessive. There’s a difference between an accessible mechanic that generates T0s and a mechanic that literally prints divines by the thousands. If you can inflate the economy as a group of five to the extent where items double or quintuple in price, it's a problem.

The mechanic is open for anyone to use, say for example you came across this or any random person came across this interaction between scarabs and scry, they didn't know it's an exploit they just think they made it rich they will then just get banned for making a more specific amount of divines per hour from a mechanic?

That as a rule can't be enforced, GGG would be banning everyone if they earned over a certain threshold in mapping, what if it just randomly happened to people juicing maps? Are they then to also get banned? Here lies the problem, as I said previously GGG needs to really made rules for this, so the player base knows right from wrong you can't be second guessing just by interacting with the game not knowing you are going to get banned for it.

While the mechanic is open for anyone to use, when you trivialize a part of the game for the entire player base, it is unintended behavior, and trying to capitalize on unintended behavior is asking to be banned.

When you can easily make 50div an hour as a weekend only player, crafting options' prices are meaningless, thus crafting is trivialized.
Not an exploit. Any repercussions are in bad faith. Outrage should not be the main metric that decides if there will be consequences.

If you uncover an exploit and abuse it for your benefit, we will ban you.

everybody with two functioning brain cells will understand that getting 30-40+ brother's gifts from a single pack can never be an intended outcome, in none of the 14,000,605 different parallel universes, making it an exploit regardless of how "simply using the tools given to them" it is.

Yes, it is on GGG that it made it into the final release in the first place, but it is on every individual player whether you run it once, identify it as way too fucking hot to be intended and then stay away from it, or to run it 250 times and make the equivalent of trillions, aka abusing the blatantly obvious exploit. And ruining the economy in the process.

I hope Mark stays true to Chris' words and they will get a ban. Minimum for this league.

Empy group has been banned for less lol
Being smarter than the devs shouldn't get you banned. Especially when there was no bug or exploits and everything was working as intended.

It's not about being smarter or not. There is a billion of things to think about, the devs are doing a great job finding and fixing a lot of things but in the end they're only humans. They can't find everything.
This is the definition of a bug abuse. They abuse the mechanic in a way it was not intended in order to print divines which obviously this game isn't about. Everyone wants divines, but it's meant to be a struggle, a chase, something you work hard for. Not something you print over night to become rich.
Finally GGG, you need to update the "Terms of use" to include some paragraph about bug abuse so that nobody can comment.

Very well said, those are legacy words worth keeping.
Tax the rich... give to the poor
I hate when bans take place even though no wrong duing was committed... Taking the wealth away is okay in extreme instances
Nice!
