Scanning hundreds possibly thousands of lines (6 mods x 100 maps = 600 lines of text) of text per night is not a part of any other ARPG core loop. give us some options here.

Best case scenario you don't even have to read a single line of the maps since you buy 8 mod maps without undesired mods, or if you roll them yourself you put your 100 maps into a single tab, chisel them, alc them and maybe vaal them and filter out bad maps via regex. In most cases it's just one or two mods that you want to ditch, maybe 4 if you play hc unless you play an entire optimized trash build that can't handle half of the mods.
Using the filter takes less than 2 min and you don't even have to read 600 lines at all.
I mean sure if you run a bunch of maps unprepared and prep the next map after you've finished the first map, that's your fault. But the filter option exists since a long long time and if you fail to make use of it and read every map that's your fault and up to you.

Your preference for how to play is not a game design solution. It might work fine for you. But it is just a result of how you choose to play. Any solution that only works for bulk buying SC trade meta is necessarily not going to work for the vast majority of players.

Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

Can be even applied on a smaller amount of maps so it's not like you have to buy maps in bulk. Works fine with 50 maps, works fine with 20 or would work fine with even a single map without reading a single line. And even for SSF or HC you can prepare most of your stuff by having a decent atlas tree for a sufficient map supply to have enough maps to prep upfront. No need for a market for to make use of something basic and simple like the highlight function lol.
Even works for the tedious alt spam or crafting if you use it correctly.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

I also agree that Regex is NEVER a viable solution...considering hardly anyone knows how to use regex commands, or know that the regex command site exists.

Anything that uses Regex should ALREADY BE INCLUDED in the base search function as a checkbox or type-able search. We should be able to search for just as many things in our own stashes that we can on the trade site.

Yes...you can do all that with regex but it is not an idiot-proof solution and we actually NEED more idiot-proof QoL desperately, especially when it comes to searching and filtering.

That being said, I also don't see a problem with having to scan a map to read 1 or 2 lines of mods that can brick your build. You should WANT to know what you are running in the first place: brainless mapping is kinda dumb. It takes less than a second or maybe at most a second to read a map mod you don't need. With experience you can even recognize the mod without having to read the whole thing based on its position and length. OR you can just type "reflect" into the search bar, drop all your maps in the bar and it will do the reading for you.

Complaining because the game makes you take a bit of time to THINK before you act is...just not a viable complaint in my opinion.

I would LOVE a memory-like map sequence we can activate though, where we roll one map and every map for 4-8 runs uses those same mods. You put them all in at once, and once you kill the boss a portal to the next map opens up. Or just longer maps in general. Part of the problem with ALL of these systems is that a map takes a minute, or sometimes even less to complete. If that was upped to 5 minutes, we woudl have 5x less rolling, 5x less reading, etc. 10 minutes and its 10x less. This whole 1 minute and done design is a problem. The rolling itself, not so much.

I am surprised how many replies a thread about not reading things got. Saving those precious 2 seconds every map must be really important.

Meanwhile, after about a week of doing tota ocassionally

if any other mechanic had the content maps have
but without the tedious and boring preparation of ingredients, i'd gladly run it all the time without any break
i mean other games offer that to, poe is the only game that needs preparation to run content lol ... even with alch and go i still need to prepare tons of maps to run.
nothing is earned but waste of time by those tedious micromanagement tasks ...
