CHIEFTAIN Changes Seem Very Inconsiderate By GGG

all changes make no sense

if you play totems there are not even 4 ascendancy. worth to take
and rf is not stacionary other nodes are meaningless
the whole ascendancy changed into Melding of the Flesh
what is this ggg?
take care of it because you will be making changes during the league agian

I think chieftain actually got it nice compared to Guardian who now has like 1 good node that will mostly be used by Inquisitors...
Chieftain got off lightly compared to Guardian.

But tbh I want to hear what Pohx says about Chiftain before calling it bad or good.
The fact they actually made one of the nodes into a link node for guardian is incredible... I'd love to know how many times link skills have been cast in total in PoE to date, minus the number that were done purely for memes or to PK someone. My bet is it is a very, very low number.
Guardian looked very dubious to me, the specific minions might be OK but I wasn't convinced at all that it was worth the effort that went into it right now.

Chieftains weird I'm gonna reserve judgement for now but gut feeling is we traded quite a nice thematic ascendancy for what i'm going to call a numbers dump. Fire res all in is very powerful and provides shitloads of budget and defence, but its just straight numerical power without any taste to it.

A little like aspect of carnage I guess.

I liked the 7l chest node until I remembered they ruined earthquake and strikes got AC which isn't actually a damage link anyway its just qol lol

Also I didn't feel like making a thread about this but I thought it was pretty funny that Chris said with a minor damage penalty for return proj and its 70% less lmfao, he may as well have just said it straight out.

why people think guardian is now worse than before?
It was a good step in the right direction. But it just felt like they are too scared to give Chieftain too much power.

Hinekora - Wtf is the 5% explode chance on 500% hp. WHY? Just make it like Profane Bloom! Explode is for clearing, not for bosses. Why everything by GGG has to be done so convoluted and nonsensical..

Ramako - Enemies have no fire res to dot while stationary - again, why the stationary? Players are constantly moving incl. RF builds. Attack dot builds ar stationary to apply a dot and then are moving while the dot is in effect. Come on man! What is the reasoning for these things?

Just buff Hinekora to be similar to Profane Bloom, remove "while stationary" for Ramako.

Also give him back Ash somewhere.

He's still too weak.

Reminds me of Raider. Has some utility and some good defense here and there, but just lacks in DAMAGE boosts.

Chris really needs to start thinking about what he is saying in these presentations. After "We brainstormed ideas for all masteries and took the 6 best we got" and "Guardian was outdated and weak so we reworked it to make it stronger" as well as the one about return projectiles it's honestly just disinginous at this point. It's not even that the return projectile gem is weak, it's still 30% more with added benefit so it's totaly fine the way it is but calling it a "minor damage penalty" is a straight up lie.
Yeah truth is that gem is still a massive dps boost on the things it really works for but he should either have not mentioned it or just been straight up. I get that they don't want to kill the hype during a presentation but just don't talk about it then lmao.

Its why the community memes about his sentences so much because there is always double speak, the famous risk vs reward eye roll where we all know it means no reward unless maxed out risk
