Nobody is going to force you to play SFL. I think a lot of people are scared a lot of the default players would immediately defect to self found league. But if that actually happens, then they should respect the way people want to play the game and enjoy it.

There are tons of reasons people play online games, and the last reason I ever hear, if I even hear it at all is to take part in some stupid economy. I've been playing MMORPGs for years, and economies are always the bane of my existence in these games, which I'd enjoy a lot more without them.

Anyway this thread is going to continue on until someone from GGG comes in and cuts the idea down, or says they are open to it in the future.

I have never traded a single item in POE, so I will keep it going. Some builds / uniques are not available to me (even some common gems), but the game should be exactly this way. I believe that trading ruins the game greatly.

what? I love trading and questing and grinding...

trading doesnt ruin the game, it's fun.

I love questing and grinding, but I hate trading:
1. Look at noticeboard at merciless act 3
2. Trading becomes separate game. You don't play Path of Exile, you play trading.
3. Solid part of trading aspect involves scam. Buy low, sell high, by any means.
4. You can go to RMT site and purchase as much currency as you want. Then buy high end stuff. Then you pretend, you grinded it all yourself.

If you love trading then you just stay in trading leagues, but do not discriminate other players who love NOT to trade.

I wouldn't say this cannot be done. It certainly can be, just not with full attention to both. Scanning trade chat even while you are playing is something you get used to if you are looking for something specific.

Trade chat is indeed archaic, but it's still fun to many people the same way townhall democracy is way more interesting than national politics.

Haven't read all the 72 pages so i don't know if this was mentioned before: I think the no-trade feature would go very well with the often requested cutthroat league: Get your gear by farming and robbing instead of trading.

I dont know if im right here but,I would love to have sth. like

- only Currency is trade able

so I can trade Choses to exalts to craft my own gear. But I think this idea is more for crafting league or sthm else.

That would be awesome.

I would really like this to happen cause the other leagues are just not made for me. Even though I can play quite much (4-6 hours a day) there is no progress after reaching a certain level. The map drops are horrible, I cannot stack any iiq/iir on my equipment because i would lose survivability or a lot of killing speed, the drops in general aren't too exciting, there is not enough currency to craft and I am losing more currency for the maps than I am getting back just to keep the map level for a little longer before being set back to low level maps.

Overall this game really becomes a drag. especially if you cannot play in a 6-man group all the time to reduce the amount of spent currency on maps.

I would definitely play in a Self found league. Trading is not for me. If they implement a self found league the crafting and drop rates would need to be adjusted.

Lol... really, this thread deserve any GGG answer, something like "we wont do it, never!" so we cant stop dreaming, or the opposite. And the only answer we can get is this?
