The Self Found League

If it's Hardcore I would definitely play.

Id play this only, screw trading its boring and it takes way too much time

I actually think it would be a more interesting league if it did NOT have increased IIR/IIQ. Same drop rates but you gotta man up and make it work.

Hc variant would be cool too.

it has my full support. WE WANT TO GRIND FOR GEAR, NOT CURRENCY. even the name GGG implies that ;)
the mechanics of the trading system are horrible and GGG obviously doesn`t plan to change that so just screw it and give us this league haha

add another person to the list.

I only said the following in the Self-Found League thread once, but that's only due to restraint; maybe I should spam it more.

Making solo play only viable in a particular league is a chicken-shit move that neglects the responsibility to make solo play viable in all leagues. Every league should be Self-Found League, while also being Trading League, because the two should be somewhat close to balanced.

Nevertheless, your reply made me chuckle. So here's a link of my own: Thoughts on Trading. The TL;DR: Make orbs non-tradeable in all leagues.

Guys, it's not that I don't sympathize with your plight; self-found right now isn't in a good way in Path of Exile. But this suggestion sucks. It evades the real issue of balance, and would further divide players into even more different leagues, making it ever harder for friends to play with each other.

i agree with you, scrotiemcb.

solo play SHOULD be viable in all leagues, but clearly GGG decided to take the same path blizzard took with D3.

they balanced the drop rates around the assumption that all players trade and this is stupid.

in d3 it took me 1 minute max to search for an upgrade no matter how geared my char was.

in path of exile i have to put in the search parameters into a 3rd party search engine (same amount of time invested as in the d3 ah), but then i have to find a player that is active (getting harder and harder), contact him, negotiate a price and hope that he isn't a complete asshole.

all this nonesense takes a huuuuge amount of time, for someone that can maybe play 1-2 hours every day.
i'm sick of spending more time chatting with people about prices for their items and when they have time to trade, than actually playing the game.

i want a self found league, but i know that we will never get it.

GGG will make us wait until they implement their (most likely) sucky trading upgrade and hope that everything will fix itself.
