Good item dropped -> Left it on the ground, stay in instance -> Sell it on ebay for $ -> buyer join my team and loot item
Pretty obscure; the item is unidentified.
You know which unique item is which before identifying it. For example unique Glorious Plate will be always Kaom's Heart after identifying. But my point is that FFA is enabling trading, which is in conflict with core of self found league idea.
Also someone can be sponsored by friends and fans if FFA is enabled. It should be self found not group / friends / fans found.

Well, ppl can trade an item only if everybody was here when the loot droped. it's not complicated. This way, you can play with your friends and share your loot with them and only them.

Game doesn't store information, who was there, when item have dropped, as I know. Also you are talking about item sharing with friends, how is this self found?

If you allow people to get huge IIQ from multiboxing, it means the people who play the game as it was intended will be at a disadvantage on the league ladder.
This is a fair comment. It applies to default, too. The argument could equally well be used as one for why FFA should be removed from default.
The problem is, there are plenty of players who actually like FFA. I don't see why the self found league should turn away FFA players. FFA is one of the founding designs of this game.

The problem with FFA in a self-found league is that the two ideas conflict. The self found league SHOULD turn away FFA players, because FFA directly conflicts with the idea of finding/crafting your own items.
Self found is not "Party member #4 had an item drop, which is now my gear".
Self found is "I found/crafted my own gear, using my own items".
I don't think there's any way to have a truly self found league with FFA enabled. I hate to be the one to say this, but if people really cherish FFA-style loot that much, then they would be free to use the Hardcore/Default leagues where that is enabled.
Edit: I don't really want to get in to this, but FFA can't really be of much importance if it is being somewhat scrapped for loot options in the future.

If GGG had to create new mechanics to store information like this, then the league would take years to implement, and it would likely just not be made at all. Yet, it would still not address the issue of multiboxers having a huge advantage in the league's ladder.

There is a huge difference between share some items with friends in the same area and a full trading system with a broken economy. However, even if GGG make a league without trading at all, it would be far better than default league.
It's just some idea to make group party with friends more enjoyable.

If people didn't care about other players not being on the same playing field as them in this league, why would they not simply play self found in leagues that already exist, instead of showing support for the idea of a league such as this.
Because the balance between drop rate, crafting-RNG and trading is impossible get right for everybody
removing the trading-part makes balancing a league in a way that it delivers a steady and fun development a lot easier.
in regard to the FFA vs. instanced loot topic: since there will be some party option in the future (for all leagues?) i think that is no issue.
creating such a league should be easy. The drop=destroy code is there (in town). I admit i would like to see a timer solution that allows sharing of loot a short time after the drop happens. e.g. only people that were in the party at the time of the drop can trade items 2-5 min after the drop. But since that have to be implemented by GGG i would prefer a no-trade,drop=destroy league first. If this is used by many GGG can some day implement a timer to allow changing things in a party but i don't think this is very important.

Me, too. In fact, it's not super essential tha the league have a drop timer at all. It would merely be a nicety, which is to say, accidentally picking up someone else's drop, and not having the facility to give back, would be a mild wart that would be nice if it went away. But such a wart is not a reason to delay going forward, in my opinion.

There's no need for this in a no trading league. Without the ability to trade, there is no economy to ruin, therefore, no SC economy problem to solve.
If you want perma death for a HC self found league for the sake of perma death, that's a matter for another discussion. However, given the basic premise of no trading, HC characters moving to the default version of this league would have precisely zero impact (apart from any loss the HC player may feel).
lol
Yeah I was having a brainfart.Happens more often the older I get. =P
I'm following too many threads to keep a clear mind at 4am. hahaa
