I was also under the impression guilds could buy their own league what happened to that?

Qarl made a post a long time ago about this. I too wonder what happened to this option even though the idea that GGG would not make a official SFL but rather let people pay for it themselves kind of annoys me. SFL would be more hard then hardcore, hardcore is a joke, standard is a garbage bin or rather scrubcore as the elitist hardcore players call it. If GGG set up something like donate to make SFL permanent new league would you?

1+ SFL:1)No trades,2)No mf mods on blue or yellow items,3)Increased orb drop,4)Permanent loot allocation,5)New specialized orb recipes(orbs that can be created to roll certain mods as opposed to the random hope for the best present orb system.)

I suggest these ideas for how a SFL league could work so it won't be about having MF(iir_iiq) to get good drops, players can party without worry of other players nabbing their stuff, orbs drop more often to allow more random crafting and if players don't want random crafting anymore they can use the new recipes to create orbs that could roll specified mods(ex: orb of cold only rolls cold dam/resist). This league would be devoted to actually enjoying the crafting aspect of this game,non-competitive and no RMT spam)

To those against SFL: I have tried since the day the idea of SFL came to my mind to play SFL but this game is not balanced for SFL play so if any of you ignorant punters want to argue otherwise just attempt to play SFL for a few months and see how bloody poor and miserable you get hence why I am always in favor of the option of a actual SFL as opposed to trying to play such a way in a game balanced towards multi-player.

So in the end ask yourself are you dedicated enough to the idea that if GGG set up something like donate to make SFL permanent new league would you instead of what Qarl suggests as private SFL leagues?

Some people are fine playing through the game with crap gear. Sounds really boring to me. Crafting should at least be viable when your completely self found. We will all just ignore that finding any decent unique would be like hitting the lottery.

The "trade" meta is frustrating in this game. A solo low trading player will practically never find or create any thing of power, the few orbs that they do accumulate and use personally will almost never roll any thing of use or fuse any thing above a 4L.

SFL for new season!

This League seems like a great idea but for it to work it has to be an ongoing league next to standard and hardcore as items from this one shouldnt go onto any other league.

Also, as it looks a GGG member responded in this thread but it's to annoying to go from page to page to look for it. If they havent added the option yet they should make it possible to just push the ggg-icon to get to the post.

First off, absolutely self-found can never feed any other league.

Second off, if you click on the GGG icon next to a thread, it gives you all GGG posts in the thread, that's existed for a long time. It does this: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/filter-account-type/staff

And for the record, the only GGG post in this thread is a "don't be dicks to each other pls thanks" post.

I really don't understand where this attitude comes from. I play self found and have found 3 and rolled 2 more 5 links since 1.0 dropped.

Just playing through story mode with a few characters you can accumulate enough gear to make a highly efficient piety runner. From piety you can get tons of 66 maps and reasonably vendor them up to 70s. She can drop all but the very best uniques and you can build up alc and chaos easily from her rare drops.

The way this game is designed to be played is that you play with what you find and build new characters AFTER you find build enabling uniques.

If you think that you should be able to decided your end build before you start and deserve to be able to find everything you want easily... If simply knowing better gear and higher level maps exist and you not having them makes you unhappy... I don't know what to tell you. Sounds like ROS is made for you, not POE.
