I didn't read all 120 pages, maybe someone already suggest it, but the "Found something good for another party player" can be solved by making the items like quest items. Everyone receive a copy of the dropped item and you can't see the other player's copy.

Long live the black sheep that is the idea of SFL 1+ If GGG put all the SFL threads together past and present since I joined in CB it would be over 400+ pages... and, lol, not all continuous bumps by people but actual legitimate concerns and ideas on what a SFL could be like. cheers Conan: Crush your enemies.
