The game feels horrible to play the 3.15 nerfs + the 3.16 nerfs have just killed this game

With this league you can no longer have a spectre bank and desecrate seems to not allow you to save your spectres

I asked about this in the Tech Support forum a week ago. Wanted to know if it was a bug or intentional, never got a response, so I'm guessing it's something GGG wants! RIP Spectres!
GGG has done their best to avoid powercreep, and now it seems they've somehow created a reverse powercreep problem. Instead of new builds becoming more and more powerful, they are barely worth looking at. Whilst the already established powerful (meta) builds are slowly becoming more necessary, because thoughtless nerfing has killed the viability of everything else.
I would pay extra to play 3.13 again :(.

Wasn't it their intention to slower the game etc.? These contradictions significantly reduced my trust in GGG.

I dont think this was their intention. It was rather a mean to an end.

They want to create a game that can be played forever or at least decades.
Their main marketing tool always has been showing off new shiny toys - aka powercreep but they cant keep stacking creep infinitely.

So they reduced the existing creep as a mean to be able to stack more new creep in leagues and years to come. Thats the vision - not a slower paced game.

If thats their goal, then there is no need to nerf mobs. Eventually the playerpower will catch up and this content will be mowed down just like before.
And if this is correct then there is no contradiction at all, its merely a temporary phase of inconvenience for some builds/playstyles.

So maybe remove multipliers entirely? Make everything give increased damage only. Rescale mob health accordingly.
When fallacious arguments aren't convincing comes the biased moderation.
+1 Thread.

This is basically how I've been feeling for the last... dunno. Year? Two? Every league I dread the patch notes to see what has been nerfed this time. And every time I have to swallow down my disgust if I want to keep playing.

"Oh, the top 0,1% of players have found a way to make some build OP. Hey, better nerf everything so that the normal players have sh*t of a time. That'll be fun."

-.-
Build variety definitely seems and feels down. Every skill is "viable" but there feels to be a widening chasm between the meta skills and the rest. And when GGG nerfs the meta builds at the top of the pile being used by the 1%, it's often done in ways that obliterate other builds below it that use similar masteries and such. It's resulting in a state where, yeah everything is viable, but some skills are woefully underpowered until you invest significant amounts of currency in it, far more than what is reasonable, and often only to achieve worse results than the meta build but be sort of playable.
Coming from a 1-2 ish year hiatus (last major active league for me being metamorph) everything across the board, especially for melee feels massively nerfed. Even with a good chunk of defensive layering on a champion with cluster jewels, IMM call, fortify, & molten shell one shots r still fairly common even in white - yellow tier level maps which is insane. Challenging content isn’t “o let’s make everything one shot u” it’s challenging/fun and engaging mechanics. Not being randomly slapped with into the stratosphere by a zombie /s.

Although not directly comparable I get the same feeling here as when eldrazi tron was running at full power in modern mtg when it was effectively a tier zero format with these insane ninja nerfs. No bueno. Big feelsbad. At this point I’m just playing cuz I haven’t played PoE in awhile.

Immortal Call + Molten Shell doesnt work very well together. Both will go on CD when one is used.

Any other defense on that character? Because Fortify + Guard skill says almost nothing.

I really wonder how many people still have Problems with def... with the changes to armour and Aura reservation + spell suppression its much easier to build good defense this Patch.

Even in Gauntlet and Atlas Invasion i didnt experience these one Shots out of nowhere.

I was just listing some generic defense skills that r typically used. In this case, tho over capped maximum resistances, 70%+ phys dmg reduction, taste of hate, pantheons, etc., and more than 6k effective hp chars will still be one-shotted currently and often.

In previous leagues, the cutoff was about 5k or so and you would be pretty fine. Now even if you go overkill on defenses you will die.
What u are listing still says nothing. Being Ele Weak capped is nothing special. 70% phys dmg reduction... with ToH? Or from Armour? Also Pantheons is not really something i would List there... i would assume everyone uses Pantheons.

More interesting things would be like...
How much Life? How much Armour/Evasion with and without Flasks. Immune to Ailments? Especially Shock.

And then any other Form of defense on top? Like Block? And the most important one this Patch Spell Supression?

Your List really isnt very impressive. If thats all u got u will die very often Endgame for sure.
I get it that people in SC dont want to Invest much in defense but then its just fair to die every now and then.

If that little Investment would be enough to be save Endgame we could just delete Spell Supression and defensive Auras, Block and so on from the Game because there would be no reason to invest into it.
