The game feels horrible to play the 3.15 nerfs + the 3.16 nerfs have just killed this game

you said to list more typical defenses these are it. Note there is also etc. in there, cuz there's a lot. You could have a lightning coil, block, dodge, evasion, as well as other forms of dmg mitgation. What was noted here was that in previous leagues it wasn't necessary to have even half of that for just base white/yellow tier maps. Having things such as "dodge" (no longer exists) and block are obvious haves on top of this. Life amount was already mentioned. Regardless, if 6k effective hp, capped resistances, 70% phys dmg reduction b4 anything else via endurance charges or flasks (ofc obviously get endurance charges in ur build if u can), fortify, plus taste of hate, etc. is still being one-shotted even in white or yellow tier maps... There is something extremely wrong here and if you are okay with that then that's fine I, however, am not. You enjoy HC that's fine, but that's from that gameplay perspective & from that way of having fun. However, from an SC/my perspective this ain't it for fun, in which we can agree to disagree here. You play a game to have fun and getting slapped for a trillion dmg to effectively one-shot (I'm aware that these aren't "technically" actual one-shots they're multi hits in one) even after having multiple layers of defenses is not okay. Again this is in White/Yellow tier maps. This can happen even in white maps. So t1-t4.

To also get here it typically requires a significant amount of investment in SC, which isn't practical for most players in general. Having to get decent defenses + decent dps + decent clear speed to tackle most of the end game is very difficult now. It should not require significant investment and/or more than 1ex to simply do end game decently via just basic white/yellow tier maps aka entry lvl maps (note ven looking at sirius, shaper, uber, or the feared yet) if you are going off-meta to league start with a notable build. For instance, sunder is effectively gone forever and EK another former setup that used to be able to league start can't even function super well on a low budget even with gem-swapping to BV for bosses. To save money you could've gone with other alternatives in the past as well via FB & then MS for bossing, however now it is practically impossible. The ninja nerfs as OP mentioned have limited build diversity significantly.

There is a big difference between 70% phys Mitigation through Armour or with Endurance Charges cause of Molten Shell.

I didnt understand the term "effective HP" thats why i asked how much life. For me effective HP would be the Calculation in PoB after every layer of defense and i think thats not what u meant cause 6k would be very very low then.

Who the ... uses lightning coil nowadays?

Also i already told u i just didnt experience these one shots u mention. If i would get randomly one Shot i would definitely not be ok with it especially on HC.

Dont get me wrong i died on HC for sure but there was not a single Situation at least for me where it was not my fault in hintsight.

I dont disagree with what is fun for u or not. I disagree with what u call "Multiple layers of defense". U clicked Champion and Pantheons, use a Guard skill and Armour bases. Thats not Multiple layers in my Opinion thats not even invested anything in defense beside being Champion.

Why does it require so much Investment on SC to run white/yellow maps without getting one Shot while many people can do that on ssf HC on Day one of a league?


Build diversity... sure there will always be meta skills which need less Investment. Could it be better? Sure. But it could be worse imo.
Ignite DD and Seismic Trap is way too strong this league at low Investment for sure but i bet its getting nerfed.

Other then that there are many skills that are playable on very low Investment.
If u pick a skill that needs high Investment to be good i guess u know that it will be like that and it was ur down decision to Go for that build.
Same with defense. If u decide u want more dmg and Go with as little defense as possible it is ur own decision to do so.

You have no gear on any hero, even the standard ones, you peak at 95-96, and you are bragging how easy the game is for you? I dont have much Gear right. I still managed to get level 92 in Gauntlet and 5th Place Pathfinder in SSF HC Atlas Invasion. Didnt experience any one Shots there. Where is the joke for u in this statement after playing this league in both events to red maps in ssfhc in less then 10 Days?

Also as u can see this Account has reached the maximum number of character Slots.
But its true i dont really enjoy min maxing very much i usually play my builds till 95-96 and then start a new one. I enjoy the journey in low Investment more then outgearing content. Also i delete many Chars after they die or the league Ends. I dont Play Standard or SC since.. Echoes i think.

Edit.. looked up ur Account for fun. Your only Scourge Char is a 92 Hierophant with Viridis Veil and Dying Sun but he had not enough Alts to Roll an instant life flask or even get a divine life flask. Are u dual wielding credit cards?

If you think viridi's veil was the expensive part of that poor hiero, i envy your naivete. Rares and gems ate many times those 10 ex.

I am single wielding enduring cry, with multiple uses which at my poor lvl of hp is near instant heal. If i manage to press it before i die.

The way i kept dying being running with move flask or forward flame dash in scourge so i can reach 200 stacks every map and drop sth. (my problem actually were not one shots (i manually dodged the beam angels most of the time) but several hits in a row from a pack of normal melee mobs which i ran into, stun locking me to death) Pantheon didn't work - stun from first hit lasted long enough for me to take 2-3 more hits and die. I even tried kaom's roots but just couldn't stomach the speed and res penalty. Hence i'm very angry, cause if this were before 3.15, i would not have even one tenth of the same issues. I also didn't drop anything special from my stubborn push into t12-13 scourge, so that further soured me at the state of the game.

And while t1 scourge maps can and did finance what you saw, they are fu*ck t1 maps which in large quantities are so boring it kills me. As for the YELLOW maps, i had to run over and over to scourge them...let's just say i am not playing poe, diablo, last epoch, grim dawn for months to come.

The bragging i referred to was your claim not have been one shotted with the heroes on your profile. But if you have played gauntlet and even finished fifth, you surely must have not been. As to how, i freely admit i have no idea, unless you got so hard on the zdps train you reached 92 by killing white mobs. Which for my sake i hope you didnt, cause i'd really need a "miracle" build if "the vision" continues.

You can envy my Naivete because i really dont know Trade Prices, well because i dont play Trade.
But also i didnt look up everything... i just saw Veil and Sun and then the flask... After that my only thought was "wtf happened here?"
But yeah thats some pretty sick Gear.

Could maybe drop some dmg and get more def? I mean u should have more then enough and would probably be faster with less deaths.

My Event Builds are nothing special. Its VepaInvasion a TR Pathfinder lvl 96 and Vepakrangled lvl 92 DD Necro.

Necro is dead. I thought it is a good idea to witness crimson township Boss and do the Invitation while pretty tired. Spoiler: Its not.


No i didnt Kill only white Mobs. Pathfinder could do pretty juiced t16 At the end with Boss and everything. Clearspeed was still ok but my Gear sucked Bad. With a little more Investment u could easily double and triple the dmg.

My Bow was really Bad and i couldnt get the exalts to make a better one. Was unlucky with essence Crafts.
Neck also just rolled shit and i couldnt get a good dot multi one with a least some resist or life.
Biggest Problem was no Mana Reservation Efficacy Cluster Jewel to switch out Skitterbots for Malevolence.
Also no Chaos dmg Cluster jewel. Couldnt force myself to farm Foothills anymore for it.

Add these things and u can bump the dmg up to like 3 mil which is low for SC Trade sure but its more then enough for T16 Maps. The more exciting Part of this build are the layers of defense it has imo. Especially the Flask Tech is pretty cool.


If u want a miracle Build play DD Ignite on whatever Ascendancy as long as it is not nerfed.
My DD Build was Bad. The Ignite Version is much better. Just look up Necro ladder for that u will find a lot of them.

The miracle you needs seems to be play a meta skill or go home. With a meta skill you can actually invest enough into defenses and still do damage.

Skills that are meta are better in difficult events/races. Surprise! Who would have thought?


If u think that means u can only play the game on meta skills... u are very very wrong.
There are many skills u can Play and have both ok damage and good defense on a low Budget.
But i am pretty sure u dont want to hear that so its not true.

Never. Next project is no loincloth rain bringer marauder with ancestor totems. Imma turn on reflections for that oiled up look and roleplay my ancestors witnessing my glory. And dark souls style rolly-polly-ing straight up from their graves. Tukohama will be pleased.
