To add onto the actual popularity of 3.15 (sorry leddit), gotta say that at the end of the day it's a game made with a specific vision, and the community (which for a while has been more about crying than much of anything else) can only say so much to shift things in a more favorable position. If all they listen to is the peeps, then their vision gets crushed and eventually the game becomes not much at all. As long as GGG plays their game they can pretty much do whatever they find fun; after all it's not like it's the only game on the market. And, if all has to end, as it eventually will, then so be it.
Finally & at the end of the day, crying about a damn product is a god damned farce.

Drop rate was -400% players after 1-2 weeks...
50k online to 6-10k...I think we have a different definition of popularity.


Not to mention the drop in trade in the 3.15 league, where people complained that they had a hard time selling an expensive item at a discount (they waited a few days for a buyer). And in the previous leagues, at a normal price, they dropped out in a few minutes.

I feel like the players' response to this would be just filtering out bases with low defence values, and the percentage of potentially valuable items among all item drops will be even lower than now. IMO the same could be achieved by buffing all armor by a flat amount and reducing drop rate.

This is exactly what will happen, this in 0 ways creates anything "interesting " that didn't already exist. If a high% base drops it will just feel exactly the same as the current version of that base. But if a low % base drops it will either feel much shittier than that same base today, or more realistically people won't even notice because it will be hidden by the loot filter. I will just have to change my filter(which is a small annoyance) and rares have another level of rng that might make it worse than other items even from the same base.

So for my kind of playertype this is just a small buff to base defenses(up to 15% but more likely to be 7-8%)

Showing that GGG puts time and effort, even if it might not be much into that, shows again, that i have a different vision about what i would like PoE to be, but still just a small impact overall.

I still would love to have 3.13 harvest but with the change of lower ilvl harvest crafts, so you can get the most perfect t2 item kind of thing and for min-maxing-at the top end it can be all the rng hell GGG wishes(and some hardcore players) to have.

So that i, as a somewhat casual player, can at least beat endgame bosses easily if i have the deterministic gear. For all those min max players i think something like Sirus A8 kind of thing is perfect. i don't know but think that most of those are fine to have those uber versions that are ultra hard but all the casuals will be fine to at least have a change at seeing those bosses more regularly.
