Communication and the Sacred Orb

What is this? Another currency for an already bloated mess of a currency tab? Soon they are going to have to sell you a currency tab part 2 because it won’t fit all the new things you have to pick off the ground.

ggg, pls check this
Honestly, just delete the stupid orb.

There's either two scenarios for it:

1. It's so common that it becomes just another buy in bulk, trade nightmare currency.
2. It's so rare only rich people will use it, and the rest of the player base runs to the market to sell it ASAP, same as exalted orbs, that no one uses their intended effect.

None of the above are fun, all end up being market fodder.
so basically its a divine for the base defense? bruh..u guys are weirding stuff out

I barely find Conq Ex Orbs... now we have another tier higher?
Love seeing more content I probably will never see.

Problem: Monsters still do too much damage and people are pretty angry about it.

Solution: We added more RNG into gear because the best way to address monster strength is more RNG and Orbs. We also introduced an Orb to help mitigate item stat RNG, but make it incredibly hard to get for the average player. Suck it casuals.

As an average player , i can tell you i couldn't care less about a defense bonus on a piece of armor . Perfect Vaal regalias , sacred orbs , etc . All of this will be easy money , selling expensive items to the rich players , who actually cares about those things .
Chris why are you still trying to turn PoE into a D2 clone. They just made a shiny new version of D2 and I do not want to play it. Just let it go man you have an excellent game stop trying to regress it back to an old game that people only play for nostalgia. There is enough RNG in this game already adding more is just dumb.

current values up to approximately 15% more

Many players seem to miss this fact. This means we get more armor, evasion and energy shield per item, up to 15%.

The sacred orb just a method to help top 1% player chase gear upgrades.

The only issue with the sacred orb is that, when power creep is an issue GGG will assume everyone has +13% on this stat and nerf players, or boost monster damage.

Main issue to this:

They're removing the veiled quality craft, meaning the optimal amount of armour/evasion/ES you can get per item is already lower than what you could have gotten before, unless you've a near perfect base item at 14+%. (veiled modifier goes up to 18% QL, or effectively 13.4% improvement if assuming an optimized fossil/hillock 30% QL item base)

Of course none of the above matters to armour and evasion based defences thanks to the massive changes those are getting, but for an ES build it's effectively a nerf unless you get an absolutely perfect base.

(granted, this does mean you free up a veiled modifier as well)

I agree that this system is more interesting than old quality system, but I really hope that in the end you will only end up keeping one rather than both. Also it is boring to name it 15% variable from perfect defense stats, instead make the number shown optionally and use tag names to define them, like flawed < worn < sturdy < polished < magnificent < flawless

The idea is great, but it also has to come with nice package, even better visual representation. Hope the game improves, GOOD LUCK!
Thats actually the only i didnt like in this manifesto (still need to read some things, but until now...).
The Defense RNG and an orb incredible rare to solve a RNG no one asked about (and tbh, was that really necessary?).
At least make it a bit less rare so we can spam it.

Another currency "just to see". Only the stupid rich will use it the way they are intended. Thats a no no for me.
Kudos for everything else.

I disagree with it being more interesting, considering the old quality system effectively would have the same effect if they completely removed armourer's scraps from the game.
