Hi bois, we are so backkkkk

Enjoy! Ice Crash is the most fun skill. Screen go BOOM! This will absolutely decimate full screens again unless the gem is one that did not get a buff.
This was a 32mil dps build nerfed to 6 mil and quite budget friendly minus the wep. It was harvest league, so it was near perfect for Ice Crash. So Idk if it will be as good as the original I made ever again but this is def the league where it might be, or better. There is certainly more overall power now in PoE. There is also more difficulty. As a reminder to myself and others it was my weapon that really took this build to the top at the time. This was not a defenseless temporal chains build to do 1 big hit, this thing survived amazingly as melee (crit axe freeze) with little cost and took out the newer A8 conquerers in 3 hits or less in 8 mod t16s (which was end game at the time). It is a mildly fast attacking Ice Crash that freezes everything and clears a 1080p screen. I am sorry the original videos are no longer available as my youtube was used for 3d memes instead after taking time off the game to learn 3d art. (I am now a 3d sculptor and make money that way) I hope everyone who is trying melee gives Ice Crash a look. To me it is the skill that gave me the most joy in PoE. It was my first and only guide. As I was obsessed with it during Harvest. Last edited by HeroEvermore#0498 on Jul 18, 2024, 11:52:39 PM

All of this and more is added to the front page now.
Changes that effect Ice Crash or are worth testing. Massive buff -Pinnacle Bosses, Shaper Guardians and Elder Guardians can now have up to 50% Action Speed reduction (previously 30%), which buffs the Effect of Freeze on these Bosses. Things to focus on and test. -Added a new Strength Support Gem, Overexertion: Supports melee attack skills which can be exerted, causing them to deal more Damage for each Warcry exerting them. Cannot modify the skills of minions. Vaal skills and channelling skills cannot be exerted. -Added a new Strength/Dexterity Support Gem, Expert Retaliation: Supports Retaliation Skills, causing them to have more Cooldown Recovery Rate, and become usable for longer. If wanting to 1h and shield: This is an ice skill, if it doesn't scale with ice dmg then useless imo. -Added a new Dexterity/Strength Skill Gem, Glacial Shield Swipe: Retaliate against a blocked hit with a sweep of your Shield, unleashing a wave of ice in a cone in front of you. There will most likely be a best in slot Tincture for Ice Crash. That said this was not a character that could be played AT ALL with mana burn as we just needed any amount of mana leech to spam skills. But hitting 0 mana can be a death. Retaliation skills will be very good. -Example buff: 20% increased Armour for each different Retaliation Skill you've used in the past 10 seconds (more is a LOT in PoE, this is many MORE's) -Example buff: 80% increased Duration of Ailments inflicted by Retaliation Skills Probably a lot lot more as we've seen in the video. Ice Crash: Now has a Mana cost of 10 at gem level 1, scaling up to 14 at gem level 20 (previously 8 at all gem levels). Now has 332% Effectiveness of Base and Added Damage at gem level 1 (previously 230%), scaling up to 611% at gem level 20 (previously 350%). Ice Crash of Cadence: Now has a Mana cost of 8 at gem level 1, scaling up to 11 at gem level 20 (previously 6 at all gem levels). Now has 249% Effectiveness of Base and Added Damage at gem level 1 (previously 170%), scaling up to 458% at gem level 20 (previously 250%). Juggernaut Changes: Juggernaut The Unrelenting Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer provides +4% to Chaos Resistance per Endurance Charge, or 8% reduced Elemental Damage taken while at Maximum Endurance Charges. Instead, it now provides 1% additional Elemental Damage Reduction per Endurance Charge. The Unbreakable Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer provides "8% of Armour applies to Fire, Cold and Lightning Damage taken from Hits". It now has 15% of Armour also applies to Chaos Damage taken from Hits. The small Juggernaut Ascendancy Passive that provided 6% increased Attack Speed now provide 5%. Item changes -The Taste of Hate Unique Flask no longer has 10-15% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Cold Damage during Effect. Instead, it now has 20-30% of Fire and Lightning Damage from Hits taken as Cold Damage during Effect. Misc. -Overexertion Support is now offered to the Marauder for completing The Eternal Nightmare, and can be purchased from Petarus and Vanja by the Templar, Duelist, and Scion. I've checked out PoE ninja and seen that there are basically 0 builds that reflect this character design in the last many leagues. Looking forward to seeing them come alive again. When I first made this I was poor in game. Harvest made it possible for me to create something special. Now that I build level 100 mirror tier characters I will absolutely min max this guy to oblivion. I understand influence crafting and so much more than I did back then. SO those looking to play this, just watch the beasts on poeninja and there will be many this league. This build is very specific on using an Axe to maximize Critical Strike Rate and Damage. Axes offered the highest crit possible during that league and I believe they still do as axe nodes seem focused on it.
Crits = Freeze = WIN. |

This is by far my most favorite build in all of PoE, and I'm super glad to finally see melee be playable once again. Looking forward to whatever you cook up, as I am too worried to build it myself lol.

" Glad to hear it. I will be hard cooking this but I have a week long vacation. So I will miss the first 2 days of league. Massive family trip. Just keep looking at PoENinja there are plenty who will be playing Ice Crash and surely many using axe variants. |
