GGG pls double test everything BEFORE release

I would be surprised if all (or most?) of the new content is playtested even once. Considering some of the previous league launches. Of late even core mechanics seem to be just bad at launch, as to think they are not playtested (delve flares, bestiary net management, betrayal green goo everywhere on screen, I mostly stopped playing after that).

They're... not, though. SSF wins half of the Emperor's Jewels and way more than 1 guy won lab rewards in Delirium/SSF Delirium. I could take the time to count them, but I'd bet it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 different accounts.

Also, it's a race. If you don't want to compete in the race, don't worry about it. If you want to compete, but can't because of the rules, push for changes to the rules. If you just want access to Emperor's Jewels, TOO BAD! That's the entire design of creating a race and a reward for the race. It's exclusive for a reason. And NO ONE NEEDS one for their build. They're not terribly powerful jewels. They're mostly just status symbols.

3. Posting your laundry list of totally random bugs/features/whatever under an announcement is so goddamn low

You seem to be also implying they are either not aware of the things you mention because you know the game better than them or you subscribe to that conspiracy theory going around that they want players miserable because it drives retention up (because why logic when you can just not).
They will NEVER be able to continue releasing Leagues every 3 months at the scope and size they keep releasing them AND they function well from the start... You cant have all 3 happen together without something suffering.

They either have to take more time between leagues which has been made clear is never going to happen..
Or they are going to have to downsize the scope of their leagues also something they have made clear isn't going to happen..

So that's why now we get broken leagues every 3 months that you have to wait 2-3 weeks for them to actually work decent. They went with the one that yield's the most profit plain and simple. People obviously would rather suffer through major issues every league start than wait an extra couple weeks to a month or see less content each new league.. After all the fact of the matter is GGG do what they do because it yields the best returns.

And why is it more profitable this way you may ask? Well that's because they are so good at marketing they know if they just hype the community enough with enough shiny new things it doesn't matter if things dont work right or are broken the first couple weeks the hype alone is enough to bring in the lions share of their profits. Then when the league releases all fucked up they spend the next couple weeks fixing everything only to turn even more profits when people buy more shit because GGG fixed everything that should have worked to start with..

GGG by their own admission go by the metrics and statistics they have built along with the game. They will always make the majority of their decisions based on what is most profitable first and foremost just like any other successful business. Companies dont do things because its the easiest or the way their most vocal customers want things to be they go strictly by whats going to give the best return on their efforts and investments.

There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.

Interesting thread. I get that you can't have all three of interesting/deep, properly tested and every three months. Why are they so adamant about new leagues every 3-4 months? I mean what would be wrong with two leagues a year instead of three? I'd rather that than broken mechanics or less interesting leagues.
I think you are asking for an end of the league content as a new league which is impossible. OP probably never code a huge project before so you want to get a product that's perfect from the beginning. It takes more than testing to know what's wrong. Many factors including how players can abuse the system, and how each of the design philosophies affecting each game play.

you are delusional at best to think you are not part of the 1% when 99% of players have not met aul once. To hit 40 challenges requires a ton of time devoted to the game aswell.

the stats speak for themselves less then 1% hit 40 challenges every league.
