Just so you know, this game is already riddled with cheats. Here are a few examples

for fucks sakes, its a damn game. Get over it. I can't even fathom the amount of care you are putting into this kind of crap. It is absolutely appalling you care this much about it.

Fuck it, I'm not even embarrassed. I truly enjoy playing this game and it just bums me out when I see these losers cheating and wrecking the economy / community with this behavior. To the gas chambers with all of em! ;P

It doesn't. These people hoard their currency or the sell it in RMT. It doesn't actually affect the market because they still hold on to the vast majority of the currency and they dont actively use it to trade. These people have almost 0 impact on the economy. Your creating reasons to hate what they are doing.

All it does is make you feel bad because someone has more then you. It doesn't even matter if they cheated or if they farmed all day or was given to them. Stop caring what other people have and are doing. Just enjoy the game.

Well I can't exactly completely enjoy the game if I can't feel that I can party with random people, make new friends without wondering if they're cheating. If I'm in a party with someone who stole all of their godly gear and are just facewalking the game, it kinda throws off the game's balance, ya know? I enjoy a challenge, I don't want anything to do with these cockroaches.

Anyways, I still love this game and from now on I will treat it as I did the ARPGs from the past; party only with close friends and ignore the rest :)

there are timers on loot that is yours. That can't steal it if your pick it up when its still yours. Again, you are creating/inventing false reasons of things that aren't actually happening. These people aren't even trying to party with you, they multibox with themselves.

Oh? I've been playing ARPGs since Diablo 1 and I have never, ever touched a single cheat. In fact, one of my friends started running with that maphack for D1 and 2 and from that point onward I refused to even party with him.

Cheats ruin these games for me because from now on I will simply refuse to party with random people.

Do not fret, as one day you'll stare into the abyss that you thought didn't exist within you. It is there, but for now, you have something dear to you, but when such is lost, so will everything you have built to stand for.

Stop projecting. For some, a clean conscience is the most precious thing of all.

Once these cheats are more widely available, I'm certain more people will start abusing them. It's only going to get worse. And I repeat: I don't want to party with anyone who's facewalking the game with duped/stolen/etc gear. I LIKE A CHALLENGE. :)

Have you thought about the impact on PVP when it comes to cheats?

There is no clean conscience. There is darkness, and the illusion of light. If you stare into the darkness from the light, you cannot see, and all that is around you is merely an illusion that is real insofar as the universe depicts itself. If you stare into the light from the darkness, you can see all that is around you and what is in the light. For people who assume that light is enlightenment, they are quite backwards, for those that want to see more than they already do.
You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.

You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior.

life is a big game, when you grow up you will understand ;) ..
The Real Question is...

Do "cheaters" desync too?

Someone point me to a "cheat" that allows you to be "undesyncable"...

I'll cheat all day, erryday...

GGG would prolly ban it though... Cause "desyncing is a feature".

Have you thought about the impact on PVP when it comes to cheats?[/quote]

They can't create new items, so ultimatly how they got their items, even for PvP doesn't matter. Whether you face someone who farmed/traded it or multiboxed it doesn't matter. These are items anyone can also get. It doesn't really impact PvP, you just dont want to fight people who would be harder for you, you think it lessens the value of your character and items when it doesn't

And they wont be widely used because they would get shut down by GGG to quickly. Most of these people make their own/part of a circle of people who do this and dont release these cheats to everyone. Once it catches on, they will be fixed.

Wow, do you think this game runs on charity? How do you think they plan to keep their playerbase to have a better chance at buying microtransaction? By addictive gameplay ofcourse! This isn't miniclip.com where you play a onetime game. Therefore they must create a difficult and competitive gear/loot system to facilitate that. Hackers just dodge the 'difficult' part.
Yes, actually, the game does run on charity in a way. People who love the game have given millions of collective dollars to GGG for very little gain other than improving the game. We have done so because, in our opinion, GGG has created the exact game you describe. The extremely small portion of players who cheat aren't ruining the game. It would take a much larger number of cheaters to do that.

No one expects a cheat free online game, but players do expect actions to be taken against those who do cheat.

You reply is just pathetic, especially coming from a mod.

Surely OP is disheartened and may be a little harsh with his choice of words but I don't see him accusing GGG of scamming people for money.
Things are being done to known cheaters. The devs are doing every ethical thing they can to detect and ban cheaters. I fail to see what is pathetic about my post. The game is practically cheat-free compared to similar games, yet this thread is making Everest out of a grain of sand. "Riddled with cheats?" There are just a few cheats that offer very slight advantages, if any. Hardly riddled, in my opinion.

The op wasn't accusing GGG of scamming?

It seems GGG's business model is designed to fool people who are willing to waste their time grinding a bad gear system.

Now let's see how long before the moderator censor this post, it would be bad business for their scam.
I don'thave a clue how such a scam would be beneficial (which is why I said it was absurd) but he definitely accused them.

Enough with the philosophical arguments... The thread is about cheats, not the inner workings of the human mind and the universe.
