"Why do you need to trade?" Well fuck, why even farm any area above level 1? Why bother using any skill gems? Why use passive points? Why ever party with anybody? Why even play the game? You trade to get an advantage. You trade because it's a feature of the game. You trade because sometimes there are things you did not have drop but you are able to get. The question "Why do you need to trade?" ranks right in the same category as those questions I listed above. Just because you want to spend 6x the time looking for the right loot when you could trade for it, doesn't mean other people masochistically desire to suffer the same way. In regards to the OP, I fully acknowledge that I will never get ahead in this game. The loot drops are garbage. I've gotten 2 exalted but 2 exalts does not help at all in getting rich, especially compared to somebody with 35 sitting in their stash like nbd. But I've already spent money and I'm damn well going to get my moneys worth before I stop playing. 35 exalted, 2 mirrors, and 100+ chaos when I'm struggling to get roughly 10 exalted after several days of play. But it's fine, I accept GGG won't reveal an official stance on /players x and wants to keep us in the dark. Who cares about leveling the playing field? Maybe they do but they won't say. " Anybody can do fine without trading. However if you trade you will do much better. You only say that because you are ignorant as to what playing the game as a successful trader is like. I personally don't trade because I'm not skilled enough and don't have the drops.
