Cheating. It is merely a word. But the concept of 'fairness' behaves more like a virus. A detrimental property you have acquired through learning. That you spread through teaching and talking about.
You expect others to limit their abilities and follow very well defined paths to achieve goals. And you feel somehow hurt if another would go beyond your self-imposed limitations and achieve things more efficiently than you. This efficiency could be considered the very definition of 'intellect'. But you feel hurt, and others of like mind also feel hurt. And together you attack.
Why are you hurt? Because you are 'less' in comparison. So relatively they have taken away from you.
You should really come to the revelation that others success does need not hurt you. It is merely your own ego and sense of greed which causes this conflict, both internally and externally. Your 'perception of harm' IS harm.
There is no fairness in this universe. And to cling to the concept of fairness and thinking inside the box is to limit your self.

Do "cheaters" desync too?

Someone point me to a "cheat" that allows you to be "undesyncable"...

GGG would prolly ban it though... Cause "desyncing is a feature".

It would be possible to call the /oos function in constant 50-500ms intervals but that will piss off other players cause they resync all the time and GGG prolly already has a mechanism to prevent /oos abuse since it also causes massive bandwidth

You can cheat by tools.

You can cheat via a botter board with virtual currency you acquired in other games.

Latter already ruined the game.

Things are being done to known cheaters. The devs are doing every ethical thing they can to detect and ban cheaters.

Well there was a false report of a botterboard 3rd party currency trade one week ago or so(the user used the board but didn't trade for external currency)

Yet he has shown such an offensive reaction:

He made foolsgold and got his chargeback if he got banned.

I don'thave a clue how such a scam would be beneficial (which is why I said it was absurd) but he definitely accused them.

Possibly some conspiracy theory GGG can create personal droprates for players they like/don't like not sure.
After Kripparian found some exalteds within 2 consecutive races or something like that there was such a conspiracy thread.
So instead the usual short: "Drop rates are bad" there was something like "Why does Kripparian find 2 exalted in 2 races?"
So their idea would be promote the game through kripparians stream and good drops while a +/- 0 drop is worse.
Not sure, not to mention such a claim would be really obvious if 6 hated players play they would find nothing and 6 liked players they would find orange/yellow walls.

Players like myself, and the OP, are tired of this shit and these same responses in every online game we play when these topics spill over into the forums.

All MMOs/ARPGs are a race to the top, and wealth is power. Spamming the skills to kill the same mobs over and over is not the fun... its the stuff you get from killing the mobs that is the fun part. Its like opening those 50 cent bubble toys from vending machines outside the grocery store, you want to see if you got one of the cool rare toys presented on the front of the machine, or some crap ass skull key-chain that you didn't want.

We want to know that we are all playing on equal footing, then and only then, do we give respect to the top 1% of players in the game, because we know they did everything that we did but better somehow. But when we realize: "oh... I see... so you just found a way to get 6 times the loot for the same amount of mouse clicks eh?... fucking great."

A lot of us here have drifted from one MMORPG/ARPG to the next over the last decade looking for a place to call home. The longest I have ever stayed at one place was when Dungeons and Dragons Online first came out... It really did feel cheat free (don't know about now). Many of us here also jumped ship from D3 when we realized it was a bot heaven and the economy no longer involved good old fashioned monster killing players, but people trying to buy food/rent/prostitutes (or whatever else young-dumb-and-full-of-cum men think they need in life).

Do your best GGG against multi-boxing ( if you can click one mouse button and make 6 characters all fire an arrow at a target in perfect unison, then yes, it is a cheat), we have faith in you. Been playing for about a month and love your game. Will be purchasing some stash tabs and a few other goodies soon, as I definitely feel you deserve support.

It's sad that anyone with a decent amount of currency is automatically flagged as a "cheater." He could have obtained the currency in other ways..

I also don't like the drop rates currently.

Gameplay wise however I am sick of the one skill spam play.
Cat a curse, use a dps skill... that's it.

There are always Cheats, the only thing you can do is to punish the Cheaters.

I realized it would take a while to do this and thought that there might be a better way to achieve the result than doing it line by line. I did and within 6 minutes i had the solution.
Did i cheat? Yes i did, i went beyond the expected limitations of the problem.
Did i cheat? No i did not, any other student could have done the same thing. I had no resources the others didnt, nor privileged information.
