Still no change sir. Still Stuck on checking resources. I already tried on a fresh install windows 7 OS but still no luck

before (with new 2 gig patch): 6,8 Gb
after defrag: 3,6 Gb

Loading screens:
game startup: ~10 sec faster than before defrag
instance joining: ~2 sec faster (down from 4-5 sec!)

you need to update windows files ---- microsoft visual c++ redistributale files esp. x86 these about 4-6 files ..

So I downloaded it, then I just run it? Nothing seemed to happen.

i was trying to run the exe in wineconsole but just got

so i downloaded the ruby script, installed the bindata, and run the script natively. that seemed to have worked. Testing to start the game now.

Everyone struggling, just open notepad and type:

del Defragbackup.ggpk
ren Content.ggpk Defragbackup.ggpk
ggpk_defragment.exe Defragbackup.ggpk Content.ggpk
pause

then save it as a .bat file, and place it in your Path Of Exile folder. Then double click it.

I was having the same issue with it seemingly doing nothing I did as Dandan suggested and it ran fine thank you!

I don't understand why something like this isn't included and automated with patches by GGG.
All that hype about decreasing size and improving load time, but the fine print was you have to know about and go digging for a third party program to run. Kinda real sloppy.
