I was a holdout for far too long, not recognizing that my own poor PoE performance had to do with my older 4 core cpu but mostly because my Windows 7 Pro was not scheduling the PoE code threads properly/optimally. My upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and a jump to a better 8 core cpu (the E5-2667 v2 cpu is significantly faster than the E5-2560 v2 I was gifted) allows Windows 10 to load balance everything across the 8 cores far better than Windows 7 ever could. With this information disseminated so Win 7 PoE players know this the upgrade to Win 10 should easily outweigh any fears that Windows 10 is more vulnerable to attacks than Windows 7. I'm not concerned that my gaming rig is now more prone to Internet attacks (which I don't believe it is). It was just a combination of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" coupled with my own procrastination and not knowing that Windows 7 was broken playing PoE.

Most of the conspiracy had to do with "personal data" being sent to Microsoft, not security.

I always disable the reporting of Windows 10 statistics to Microsoft and anything else I can find like the "Windows experience" feedback, tailored ads, etc.

No. You are not a business. You lost windows 7 support 5 years ago. If you ARE a business and want to pay money to receive support, that ended 2 weeks ago.

They are. Possibly as soon as 3.10 in March. Unless their plans have changed since ExileCon anyway. They haven't said anything more about the Mac port since then as far as I know.
