EDIT: Atlas is saved.
"could it be that it like only spawns in one of the areas that u have to run a map each area till one gets activated? not sure so far no problems spawning them just killing them at this point lol but yeah if the chance to spawn is rng later on after a set amount of stones then i think that;s crappy design either make it work the same or change how it's when you just start out "Now all that's left is for you getting on your knees."
if you know thank me:) i'm dying to find out x'D |

I second this. game is too bloated & boring

" Nobody has any significant quantity of specific maps, and "just buy them" is NOT a solution, as some of us don't want to play a tedious trading simulator. The thing that was great about the ability to customize your atlas in the past was not having to constantly struggle to find the fun maps to run amidst a sea of annoying ones in your stash. I have given this new atlas a fair chance, and put lot of time and effort to try to figure out how I can use it to find a comfortable style of play again. I've had 32 watchstones for 3 weeks, and I've leveled a character to 100 while trying to find a fun way to socket my watchstones in order to get mostly maps that I'd enjoy running. I've come to the conclusion that it's not possible. This is not me being resistant to change. It's me being resistant to the loss of a feature with absolutely no replacement. There simply isn't a way to do an atlas strategy that allows for non-stop mapping in fun layouts anymore. Again I must try to remind you guys that this thread is not really about the path towards 32 watchstones. I understand that the grind and RNGfest to get there is tedious and boring, and I'd like that shortened as well, but that's another topic. My complaint is with the lack of customization options after you've completed that shit. Last edited by carkasjak#7673 on Jan 10, 2020, 7:02:57 PM

Another sad bump. Bring the fun back to the PoE endgame, please.

might as well wait for the next league at this point the next manifesto should be "important" for the future of the game in general..
if they keep this system my play time will decrease by alot for sure.. it will do the opposite of that they want right now bah it's already doing it I havent log back in for several days already. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe2 = ruthless 2.0. |

the new atlas and especially the way to sirus is totally boring, i have rarely seen anything worse in a game...
you stupidly run up to 100 maps to get a conqueror, what should be fun about it? I had the Uber Elder after 10-20 maps, that was at least foreseeable and also farmable, now you run maps, have no conqueror after about 1 minute and run the map annoyed to the end or break it - that's really fun... whoever designs something like that should play his own crap for a few hours, so he can see what kind of shit he has created. |

" Blizzard has taught me to never trust percentages. I get more high-tier maps from transmuting my maps than alching 'em, but I know I should still alch. PoE probably isn't the game for me since I hate deceptive RNG that doesn't actually work in practice (working with 1,000 sample sizes is hardly a good metric, imo.) Unfortunately, I still get hooked, and the only game even close to PoE is D3... .. .. Sorry, just needed to rant about RNG. But yeah, I never trust these percentages... |

Yep. Shaped maps was what I enjoyed. Doing a flicker build in Toxic Sewers to doing an Occultist explosion thingy in Haunted Mansions. Then there's stuff like Vault where you run in a nice figure eight. I'm sure I've spent lots of currency on sextants to shape and re-shape but to me that was worth it. What I liked about that was the consistency. It was also fulfilling to see your tab get filled with self-farmed shaped maps.
I looked at this new altlas and just said *nope.* I doubt I'll play league beyond Kitava anymore. Sad |

I have to agree with OP. The new atlas was fun the first time, but now as I am farming for Sirus spawns I am ready to pull my hair out. There are so many map layouts I despise and I have to run them because even though I have 150 tier 15 maps, I don't have more than 5 of any of them.
It's all a matter of opinion. Some people like this new variety. I certainly don't. My idea of grinding, is mindlessly farming while relaxing and drinking a beer or two. That is why I enjoyed the old atlas much more. I could pick maps that I enjoyed to grind. People say that it was boring to run the same map over and over, but we had a choice as to which map that was. Bored with burial chambers? Change your elder map. Now, we have no choices. Run the maps you have, regardless of if you enjoy that map or not. Each time I run a maze map, I feel like shutting off my computer and doing something else to relax. That's just me. I have a friend here that adores the new atlas. To each their own I suppose. My only hope for the future of the atlas is adding choices. Can we all have what we want? Keep the atlas the way it is, but add a way to block maps that make people want to quit playing. Please. DISCLAIMER!
