Sirus fight is making me quit POE

Same for me, got sniped twice off screen, and beam didn't actually hit me, at least from my POV. Died once from massive lag spike and I'm running an RTX 2060 6G with a Ryzen 2700 3.7 GHz and fiber connection. I enjoyed most of the fight except when trying to trigger him and he was just sitting in the cloud trying to snipe me and I couldn't even activate him to fight back. Also I got blocked out of the fight for a least 2 minutes while I waited for the storms to part. This fight could be good, instead it made me rage quit and post to an internet forum. Not a good sign.

Yep - fight is still massively bugged if you die.

Storms repeat too many times, and block all paths (upper, lower, doesn't matter) to Sirus.

Plus the "DIE" triple-beam from 2 screens away, before you even get close to him (before the camera ever pulls "back" for the encounter).

At least I managed to be one of the lucky ones that got all 32 stones, so now I can just skip the fight every 4th conqueror.

All in all, as long as it's skippable, game is still playable.
I just faced sirus for the first time at lvl 90 awakener 4.

I got all the way to the last phase before I died, then I wiped all the portals on his last phase. I'm not going to lie, his auto-aim stun lock is bullshit. If I get hit by his giant laser when he says die, guess what? I die. Oh btw, I can't actually dodge it if he uses it off screen...

He does in fact kind of give you a hint he is using that death cannon because he says "DIE" however like I said, if he uses it off screen, you have no idea where it's coming from when he fires it. I think he killed me this way 4 times.

I'm not going to lie, the fight before this phase was literally a joke. I used my lvl 90 trickster for the fight. I have 4200 life and 3700 ES, so I have a decent life pool. Maybe i need a physical mitigation flask for this battle since I can't count on dodge ever working.

Pretty much this.

This is what pissed me off the most before the patch, and I still died to it once the one time I've fought him since. (The fact it's taken me 8+ hours and 50+ t14-16 maps to spawn the 4th guardian today is a whole other issue)

Making a boss teleport off-screen then firing a big-ass laser that's pretty much instadeath if it hits.

It's simply piss-poor coding and clear evidence that not one person from GGG has ever tried the fight themselves.

Even if the fight is eas now, it still isn't good, in-fact its pretty damn bad compared to even UE.

Yeah. This off screen triple-pulse beam is some serious BS in the last phase.

24 portals so far. Managed to kill him somehow on 3rd set and now failed again: 1 personal mistake and 5/6 snipes with the beam.

I'm ok with some other BS that happens rarely like his corridor exiting into the cloud. But this beam is so annoying because I don't understand what I'm supposed to learn from being sniped off screen while running around the cloud.

Even when its on screen - close to impossible to dodge if he ports too far. First hit stuns/shocks? you - no chance to use any save buttons - guaranteed hits by other two pulses and death.

For example, when he uses it after a "tracking circle" - that's fine. We know its exact timing by audio clue, we can position looking at the circle and we dodge proactively. But port (especially off screen) and instant cast with no angle to dodge is total BS.
I don't like getting one shotted by his OFF SCREEN projection while I'm in melee with him on the ground, get your shit together GGG. You can't just expect leech-build to just hover around him like a beta orbiter for fear of him dumping down 50 mortars on top of my head with zero warning, holy shit this fight is bad.
I personally had blocked out a chunk of time to play the game, than when I lost my 3rd Sirus fight because the mechanics are shit, I actually lost all interest in the game, straight up closed out and haven't touched it since. Until GGG redoes the entire Sirus fight, I think I'm just giving up the game for good. I love dying to bosses, I play weird builds and I know I'm bad. But I actually enjoyed losing before. I liked when Shaper or Elder killed me and I liked trying to figure out how to kill Uber Elder. Most of the annoying shit before Sirus I could even deal with because it came up here and there. Like Mastermind has some issues, but it's not core content like Sirus. Sirus is the end game content. He is literally the final boss and not enjoying him lowers my opinion of the entire game from start to finish. I even rationally know that I could simply ignore the existence of Sirus and just play everything else, but the game feels empty without some fight to build to. And the fight this entire game builds to now is the shittiest fight in the game. Or any game really, I can't remember the last time I saw a fight designed so fundamentally bad as Sirus is.

He himself is boring af, the only thing that kills you is gimmicks. It's storms that cover screens, it's a maze that you just walk around in and try and get out in time (which on it's own as the only gimmick could actually have been fun), it's random shit that you aren't actively interacting with. Everything that killed you in Shaper/Elder fights could be identified and interacted with. The player had agency to deal with them how they chose. Sirus literally throws a bunch of stuff at you with a single way to succeed and you do that single thing or die. It's not a fight, it's a puzzle. And it stole the end game fight slot.

In addition to all that, there is so much empty space. You have to travel though an ugly ass portal that doesn't fit in your hideout properly, walk through a building, go into another portal, walk through a building and than maze through a bunch of storms every single time you die. All without a single instance of player interaction. I honestly can't think of a single aspect of this entire fight that has any semblance of good game design in it. Maybe the fact that you stand under the projection to summon Sirus giving the player the choice of when stage changes occur. But that's overshadowed by the storms and other random shit the projection throws out.

I feel like I could rant about how shitty this fight is forever and not run out of content, but no one from GGG is ever going to read this and I haven't seen a single thing from GGG stating that they will fundamentally change the Sirus fight, so I'm gonna go uninstall now. It was a fun run while it lasted GGG. Go tank your game some more.

But only if your atlas isnt bugged and you do get to spawn him.

I am not running 24 hours of maps to get to one fight. Thats why I quit. Not only was this fight bullshit designed and has very cheap mechanics that are either lacklister or just offscreen oneshots, but ggg does not at all acknowled the atlas as bugged and that some people can not or not even close spawn sirus within a reasonable timespawn or within reasonable effort.
A buffer up hydra guardian is deadlier Sirus after his the recent nerf
