Sirus fight is making me quit POE

when you die one time in the fight, he spawns the fucking clouds... and if you make one wrong decision where you place the giant clouds, all of your remaining portals a nothing worth... and again 1k maps, which sucks. so in short, i dont like the new atlas mechanic and sirius fight, so my last season and waiting for diablo 4 or something like that.
if i think, next season farm all the maps again... no thx

Ok, so the possibility that the last phase can happen near the stairs which breaks the maze-mechanic is totally fine ? It shouldnt even be possible in such an encounter. This is so pathetic designed, and all those devs do right now is enjoying their holidays while f*ck up my free days. Thx GGG

Of course it's not fine, but we're talking about the DESIGN of the fight and an unsolvable maze is quite clearly a BUG, not an intended mechanic. I had hoped it went without saying that bugs need to be found and fixed, in this fight and all others. I died today in act 6 because the scorching ray from Tukohama's totem was literally invisible; by the time I noticed the rapidly accruing stacks it was too late and the DoT got me even after I moved. But I don't think this means GGG should change that boss and remove the scorching ray attack from it.

Likewise, I really like the maze mechanic from the Sirus fight. It's only the staircase bug that needs to be fixed.

Your response is exactly what I was talking about needing to avoid when I said that the criticism needs to be focused, coherent, and clear. Emotional nonsense ranting is much easier for GGG to tune out completely, and undermines your own goal of getting the very real issues with this fight resolved.

I have never ever wanted to cry at a game before but POE has accomplished this.

The changes in 3.9 have ultimately meant the entire game is no longer playable for me.

The changes to unique mobs has meant that they are meat sponges and that any skills/ailments which are related to enemy life no longer viable. A real let down as I love lightning and cold builds).

Since 3.2 and aiming to beat the Uber Elder (first done in 3.3 for me), i have managed to, some builds were alot harder to do, but to do none the less.

However 3.9, Delve level 220...impossible for my character now when it was sailing past 350 easily in 3.8. (I didnt play Delve that much last league). Sirus...impossible mechanics (non-fight mechanics).
T16 maps, doable but bloody slow. I appreciate the purpose of POE; to grind loot and your build but a line has to be drawn...stop delaying people getting to endgame so much by just making bosses and mobs tankier.
I expected it to be harder in the new league, fine but when i went to standard and used my character that could complete Uber Elder in under 2 minutes (not sure if thats fast or slow, felt fast for me) I was really saddened to see that it cant do delve 220 or Sirus or even a few Elder guardians (T16). The mobs and bosses are just far too tanky and that affects several build mechanics.

Now dont get me started on Sirus fight, because i certainly would be calling for some GGG employees to get the sack or redeployed to non content development roles.
Those tossing storms, what a stupid idea, if I want to play kite the storm, ill go find a real life tornado thanks.
The 'colours'...well only two colours, deep red and black - there is a whole spectrum out there you know.
And the big sod (Sirus' alter ego)...GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU MORON! need I explain more?
The rest of Sirus' fight is ok (bugs and obstacles aside), but the 'being lasered off screen from opposite side of the arena is highly annoying, especially when its the version of the laser that tracks you.

All I know is I am done with this game, i have played it since the 2013 and this has just completely ruined it. This is just no longer fun. I am actuall angry at this game's mechanics...that has never happened before.
I have no problem with difficult content but it should be content you can learn and develop from, not be penalized entirely for making 1 mistake or no mistake of your own - especially when, to get practice for the fight, you need to sink 500 maps and equal hours. I will go with Uber Elder's 8 maps please any day.

GGG's mantra is 'delay the player because they will then play more'. Well its too much delay for me.

Simple solutions:
If GGG simply just remove the storms from the fight that would make it far more enjoyable. Its a fight afterall...not a storm chaser extravaganza.
Remove the railings as people have said...bit stupid.
Make his big alter ego translucent, dont need to see floating legs, aint useful to the fight.
Undo the Unique and Rare monster buffs or at least tone them down for Delve areas. The 'one life only' is enough to of a penalty.

Regarding the storms, you should never hinder players because it undoes what they have been developing for. A character that can kill Uber Elder in under 2 minutes cant even reach Sirus because of a storm is not the fault of the character or the player, its the game mechanic.

At least with Uber Elder, if you make a mistake, you can go back to the fight and are guaranteed to be able to at least hit him with your attacks.

Anyway rant over. Will watch for the patch notes, but this is where i stop playing POE. 7 years (well 6 years and 4 months) continuously playing and supporting and contributing...to abandon the game because of poor design choices, really hurts me but i would rather that then get angry at mechanic changes beyond my control.

I miss Uber Elder so much. Shame he is so hard to encounter (and probably fight).

I have found I have got more used to the fight now. To be honest, the first storm i kite over to a corner then log out, that storm is well out the way then and never bothers me again. I then run back in and Sirus is along with not storms remotely near him so easy second phase. The second storm I run it to the opposite side of the room where the stairs are then before it blocks me loop around back to the centre of the map to get him down again with no clouds nearby. After that is just a case of finishing him off. there are no storms nearby and he hasn't moved to the stairs because i move the storms way out of his way.

I don't really like the fact that most the fight is just kiting storms but i suppose there is some knack to it. Other than its OK, not mechanically that interesting but OK.Its a frustrating fight if it gets bricked and its quite annoying to get the fight again with all the RNG elder-slayer taunting.

login out for a boss mechanic.... that just shows how dumb the mechanic is
i know its possible without it,but it still says a lot about the design
Just fought Sirus for the first time. What a ridiculous fight. I feel I will never be strong enough to beat him. What actually drove me nuts the most is the stupid camera angle change. Like wtf and why? You have 70% of the arena covered in instant death and you can only see 2 meters around you. Also the invulnerability phases and waiting around are anti-POE. The entire fight sucks in my opinion and I've never played anything so aggravating in my 3,630 hours of POE. I won't attempt him again unless they change something.
1) Getting hit by the multi cannon of screen while running back to the fight is nuts. Yes I can hear him. But what does it give if I litteraly don't know Where he is in the slightes?

Keep close to him? Its hard to keep close to anything if you died and need to solve a living maze of storms, or better yet how do you keep track of something that just teleports off screen to the other end of the arena and gives you a "DIE!" a 0.5 second later?

Some kind of the beam track indicator that does not damage for a 0.30 second.

2) The living maze of storms...

I lnow there are guides on moving those thigs around, the problem is if or when you die those things do what ever they want to(most commonly for me they target the player and simply move to the entrance, what ever made someone put an entrance to the area with one path out? the one on the right side gets blocked by the nearest cloud after the 2nd area reenter).
Getting Sirus down too close to a storm cloud, that's a hell of its own:
1) the torms that are fixed get pushed out of the arena.
2) the rushed storms by their textures are out of the ring, but while you get near the arena edge they still damage you from time to time ( hello 3 layer maze exit blocked out by the storm)

Maybe make the newborn stroms fixed after the phase change? Like if a new storm is created the old ones stay put.
Get a way like damaging the edge of a storm cloud to forse it to move bit towards the player ( fixing those fixed storms and potentially a bad placed strom if they stop moving)

3) Damage wise the first phase is easy of some sort and needs practise the 2-3 hit part is an enough window to deal damage.

The shit starts at the last phase. And it feels like the tempo is alterig from time to time. SOmetimes he is slaking and making 1-2 small beams between big shots like the maze or stuff, the other attemp to fight him he simply jusps over and goes non stop on the 3 skills, with teleporting to the farthest edge of the arena from me( or better yet who knows where beyond it)
Aside from the combos of theese problems to survive...
How do you kill something that does not get damage while the maze is up ( and he regens the ES)while he teleports from side to side and all that while making breaks to restore his ES.
Hit him is a good thing but the Elder and Shaper fight went phase to phase and I get to get 1-2% hp of of SIrus before he teleports an regens his ES back again.
It really feels like the boss fight was designed and tested prior to the idea of the armor, res and fortify changes in this league, and no one even bothered to test it out after ( lets see how it goes and make changes next league)
Do it man, just push that "uninstall"; i've already did it & it's great.
I'm done with this league until these trash storms are nerfed. It's a shame because the rest of the fight is AMAZING! It has hands down the most mechanics in any boss fight the game has seen so far. Unfortunately, you guys ruined it with these dog shit storms. Sorry, guys. I'm not running 50+ maps to do THAT shit again. I'll keep an eye on patch notes but until then I'm done. If nothing happens in a few weeks I'll probably come back to get that dank portal but I'll be completely ignoring Sirus. Again, thank you for the amazing fight but PLEASE, tune down the storms. Everything else is beautiful.
Once again Sirus went mid air riding a storm and shooting everything at me, after 5 mins I said "fuck it" and died 3 times dashing into the storm below him.
Doing so I have been able to bring him back to the ground and kill him but losing 30% xp is not really worth it (I'm not aiming at lvl 100 but still).
Also, the drops are just terrible (Ivory Stone +1 suffix and the gloves which bricked out at the first corruption).

The fight is kinda ok but the bugs are just too much right now, hope they will fix everything soon.
