About gender locked classes
" Yes, you are. You have NO CLUE how much they will cost, yet you're assuming they will be expensive. So, since YOU HAVE NO CLUE how much they will cost, what's the point of getting mad about it? And....dudebro? Is that some stupid fratboy speak? Or are you trying to sound cool? |

" Come down. He's "upset" about the general price levels in the MTX store, and he has every right to be. Shit IS expensive. What good is history, if we don't learn from it - or make assumptions based on it? Those MTX's will - more likely than not - be expensive. My stance though: People buy the expensive shit regardless, so it can't be TOO expensive. Anyhow, as for "dudebro"? Have at him. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Im fine with gender locked characters, once u slap mtx on any character and start playing u have no idea what gender t char is from t look at screen anyway. Loads of ppl listening to music while playing and have just item filters on laud so they won’t miss any good stuff, so t lines what char says goes of t table too.. Well, It won’t be me who would buy gender mtx for sure. Don’t know how about others...

I don’t need anger management, I need people to stop pissing me off! |

" I couldn't care less how much the MTX costs. If myself and others are willing to pay "X" amount for something then it's not too expensive. What he and others fail to remember is the frickin game is FREE! And I'm willing to support a FREE game that many many people including myself enjoy for thousands of hours. Some people 10k hours plus. IMO people have zero right to complain how much MTX costs in a free game that they have played for thousands of hours. |

They identify as they do, who are you to choose gender for them ? ^^ joke

" I see what you did there.. ;) |

" Heh. Such has been GGG's stance from the beginning. It's just a twitch weird since we can choose literally everything else the game tracks about them. But yeah, fair point I suppose. Doesn't make me wish less that I could play a Daughter of Hyrri rather than a Son of Kaom when Marauder builds come up, or wonder why my she-Templar is being so brazen with her whole lack-of-pants thing. Anyways. @Gulch See that little slew of Bad Decision Badges under my name? I've done my support-the-game bit. Mine, and about ten or fifteen other folks'. You don't get to freemium-shame me. "Free" or not, game developers are still on the hook for providing value for money; adopting a freemium business model does not mean the devs are beyond reproach when it comes to their monetization. MTX prices have bloated to the point where it's easy to spend a hundred-plus dollars just to buy one 'look'. Sixty dollars for the Dragon Slayer full armor skin, let's say. Then another thirty for the weapon skin(s). Then another twenty for the weapon FX. Then another fifteen for the feeties footprints. Another twenty for the portal. Thirty-odd for the character effect. Ten to fifteen for the critter. Just spitballing off the top of my head here at work for their typical prices for this stuff, if you really dug the Dragon Slayer vibe and wanted to deck yourself out in it, you could easily plug 200+ dollars into doing so. You could not get any significant Dragon Slayer MTX effects for much less than fifty bucks. That is kind of obscene and only 'okay' because players are too inclined to give publishers/developers a free pass on 'purely cosmetic' stuff. Gender selection is much more important to more players than you think than is looking like a flaming demon hobo. Gating it behind MTX purchases, especially at the current price rates for MTX options, sucks ass. |

mtx gender is a great idea IMHO :)
Some SJW will be triggered no doubt but you cannot avoid that these days regardless of what you do. |

Okay, people.
A polite reminder that, while it's awesome that many of you are unconcerned with gender and feel it to be a simple, uncontentious fact of daily life, others are less fortunate. When you're uncomfortable in your own skin and kinda hate the way other people look at you or talk about you, things like being able to play who and what you want in your free time become a lot more important. Bad experiences have been had with social media, but there's no need to drag political muck in here. Issue at hand, if we could? |
