Latest patch crashes my video card.
if anyone is still having this issue i may have found a fix
search for "reliability history" in windows, and if you see "IAStorDataSvc" saying it has "stopped working", go to control panel and uninstall "Intel Rapid Story Technology" the IAStorDataSvc was coming up as "not working" at the EXACT same time as my PC would black screen while on PoE, so this might fix the issue for others. Ive been going strong for a bit now whereas normally i would be crashing within 1-2 maps |

" The amount of bugs in early versions of adrenalin 2020 can blow your mind. I use old 19.6.3 driver and works fine, but i must say there is a some relation between poe and gpu drivers or windows. Sometimes some actions can "stuck" poe in some weird sate where in game animations can freeze screen or hit fps very hard and some stuttering occurs. I have this stiuation twice or more where i just reinstall gpu drivers. Long time ago i just kill win10 with many driver instalation attempts with messing up with DDU, becose i cant fix driver issues. |

" You quoted a post of mine written in November 2019 asking someone why they were using a driver released in 2017. I'm not sure I see the relevance to issues in a driver version which didn't exist when I wrote that post. It's one of the more random notifications I've gotten, tbh. “Please understand that imposing strong negative views regarding our team on to other players when you are representing our most helpful forum posters is not appropriate.” — GGG 2022

" I am a sinner now? This topic is active to this day, cause there are problems and for GGG team fixing things take very long time. Maybe i dont read your post carefully but i reead your statement "2 years old", even 2 years old driver can do the job. And where i say is driver version issue? This something maybe with game profile or something else, that explain that many peoples have problems and others plays normal. Dont be an ignorant. Also undervolting can cause issues in some games, if someone have bad pc case without good ventilation can heat up easly pc components with poe. I see you are "valued poster" but i dont see any "value" in your posts. |

" Nobody has accused you of being a 'sinner'. The forum sends notifications when one of your posts is quoted - and as you quoted my post, I received one and assumed that you were responding to my post in particular. The post of mine in question was designed to raise two potential causes of this issue. I wasn't sure how it was relevant to your own post, which I touched on in my response. To touch on some of your latest points; " Sure. They can also lack more recent bug fixes and performance enhancements - so I believe it is reasonable to ask that someone test with a newer version. To reiterate something from my original November 2019 post - "I'm not usually a stickler for having the latest driver for a video card" - I'm not saying that everyone should always use the latest version; just that two years old is, well, very old in terms of drivers. " You mentioned AMD's Adrenalin 2020 Edition driver in the first sentence of your post which quoted mine. That post of yours can be found here if you would like to refer to it. " I'm not sure labelling someone as 'ignorant' for spending their spare time attempting to help those experiencing technical issues is a fair characterization. " I did not mention undervolting in either of my posts in this thread. As an aside, what you say is incorrect. Undervolting causes less power to be passed to the GPU, which results in less heat being generated. Undervolting would thus, in fact, be advantageous in the scenario in which you describe. I believe you are thinking of overclocking. " This is my third post in this thread. The first was a response to its creator, and contained troubleshooting advice; including a common solution when the described issue became more prominent for a brief time late last year. The second was a short post stating that I wasn't sure how one quoting me and thus, seemingly replying to me, was relevant to my own post. If you believe a member of the Valued Poster program should have their conduct on this forum reviewed by GGG, you are welcome to send an e-mail to support@grindinggear.com. I do sincerely hope that any issues you are experiencing get resolved in the near future. I first became active on a forum related to a game I was playing at the time due to it frequently crashing, and advice I received from another member of the community fixed the problem for me. This is actually why I tend to be more active in support-related forum sections than the average community member; I have been trying to pay that forward ever since. I've a policy of disengaging from people after being insulted by them - thus, due to being labelled 'an ignorant', I will wish you a pleasant day, but not respond any further. “Please understand that imposing strong negative views regarding our team on to other players when you are representing our most helpful forum posters is not appropriate.” — GGG 2022

I have the same issue as op and tried various version of the nvidia driver. Basically all recent version and even rolled back to pretty old ones. Still this crash occurs with all of them and only when playing path of exile. All other games I tested and multiple benchmarks/stresstests worked fine.

Same stuff here.
It works completely fine on my 1080, but it bricks my 670GTX (another PC) driver. This issue started after the last night patch, it occurs anywhere, even when I'm staying in HO. |
