Basicly u rekt immortal call and introduced 2 more similar skills that share the same cd and they all do the same thing more or less ?
From what i understand u did nothing and nerfed immortall call making it even less usefull good job. LOL Maybe i didnt understand it right, will see next week i guess...... By the way, melee needs PASSIVE MITIGATION to be good at high endgame. I dont know how to be more clear. IT NEEDS ARMOUR FOR EXAMPLE TO BE GOOD VS HIGH DMG HITS. im using armour as an example only. but i guess some1 in the ofice has a thick skull. When i level melee it feels good while leveling. Once i hit mid tier maps it begins to feel like shit when the big hits start rolling in. and thats when i dont want to play it anymore. I can not TIME the shitty new SAME skills you will introduce vs every hit im going to be hit with. Give us some pasive defence, and let people enjoy the content. ffs Fucking hell, its been years. are u people doing it on purpose or are you straight up [Removed by Support], i dont get it really. " No, they scale with different mechanics for different builds. Steelskin: does not scale with anything other than levels, basic defense for no investment. Probably going to find its place in the duelist/templar areas. Molten Shell: like Steelskin but does scale with armour and has a damage reflect mechanic. IC: scales with endurance charges, can become complete immune to phys with 7+charges, now also gives elemental reduction, something that was sorely missed. Will probably be interesting in the marauder part of the tree as end-charges are easier to obtain. the IC-nerf was way overdue. It was odd that GGG would allow such an abuse of a mechanic for such a long time. |

Deeper delve (>270) appears to be all about sudden incoming cold/phys alpha strikes from entities hiding just offscreen in a side tunnel.
Sometimes that's the only way you know they're even there, since you cannot see into the darkness. Boss monsters telegraphing big hits only works when you can see the boss. Knowing to slam your IC manually before engaging a pack of porcupines, relies on you knowing beforehand, that porcupines have an on-death ability. In short, correct use of any of these three guard skills (which cannot be stacked or layered, since they share a cooldown) requires pretty involved knowledge of each monster type (out of thousands) and their repertoire of combat and on-death abilities. Or you could try CWDT at level 20, and hope 3272 "deductible" damage doesn't kill you outright before you gain your 35% reduction. To reiterate, this change to an important defensive tactic (especially for close combat!) is a major nerf to most melee builds. No improvement on how armour scales with level to protect from supermassive boss alpha strikes. All sticks, and no carrots, so far. I have every right to hope there will be plenty of other sources of phys/chaos damage reduction; because what we've been shown so far, looks like people will just move on to the next meme defensive tactic and abuse that one just as universally. IC not being braindead full physical immunity but now mitigating some elemental damage....good change. Dont revert it back to cater to the babies. Let natural selection play out like it should and stop wiping bad players asses. You're implementing all the other auto defenses to "help" melee. Quit trying to write your wrongs by turning melee easy mode just because you guys made ranged builds fetus skill level.

I applaud GGG for IC nerf. Brave move, of course there are gonna be crying "playing while watching TV guys" who don't know how else to mitigate damage except their beloved braindead IC+CWDT that is absolutely broken mindless mechanic if you actually think about it. Is this the kind of players GGG should be balancing their game around? I don't think so.
