Steelskin and the Guard Skills
" The problem is some people are so braindead they don't use those defensive flasks when being hit by porcupines, they instead go complain on forums how this and that mechanic is bullshit.
" Why are you complaing about new defensive skills? I waited so long for a buff on melee chars and a buff for mixed armour + es casters. Before that the only avaible options were: full es, evasion + es and acrobatics. Freak that. I want to facetank the world and don't fearly jump around like a scared frog. That's what I like. FINALLY! Finally melee characters are stronger enough to not be considered a "weird" choice. Finally casters with armour + es got sense! Finally i can play like i want since LONG LONG TIME. |

" LOL all these posts telling people to use active defensive skills, still haven't seen one person point an alternative to IC that will actually work in the high-end situations people are describing. Armour? Not unless you've got 30k or more. Stacked phys damage reduction? Not without a massive dedicated tree and equipment setup. Evasion? Jade flask alone won't get you there against 1k accuracy 15k+ mega hits. Lots of people forgetting that Evasion scales downwards too, just not as severely as Armour. If you want players to actively defend then it needs to actually be physically possible for a player to do that. You can prep for strongboxes I guess, but none of the other stuff like bosses, cast-on-death dorks, deep delve critters and so on, which happen for all intents and purposes instantly. No one here is fast enough to hit some ability or flask in response. GGG have explicitly said they are ONLY changing early game monsters to telegraph moves. Not late game ones. If you want players to have to actively defend using abilities, then ALL monsters need some sort of telegraphing. Last edited by FramFramson on May 29, 2019, 1:45:08 AM

Press F to pay respects to Immortal call

vaal immortal call?

Immortal Call made me feel safe regardless of how many spine monsters had massed into an ungodly pack just daring me to kill them all at once. I am legitimately concerned how do deal with them after this change without having two full layers of dodge/evade and something else like MoM hoping to survive.
The more More you have, the less Less matters

" Jade flask alone won't mitigate that much, but properly using several defensive layers(just the jade flask + stibnite mitigates like 90% of the hits in game) will stop you from being bullied by mobs. I have a feeling with all this new defensive techniques it will be ever easier to play the game if they are used all properly. What GGG does here is not making the game harder or easier, they want to encourage people to press more buttons instead of 1 clicking everything. " I look at it as an experimental change, if this early act revamp receives a lot of positive feedback instead of a backlash we might see this kind of revamp across the whole game eventually(maybe 4.0). And I am looking forward to that.
" Coming from people who didn't even play this league lolz.. People are all talk without actually playing the game. Seriously all these reddit and forum clowns who play the game by typing. I got downvoted for pointing out the delve issues in case of Immortal Call nerf. Those clueless 95% of players who have no idea what they're talking about, talking about balance base on their maybe t10 map knowledge There's reason why we need lots of passive defensive layer to survive this game. Mobs just don't give a shit in high end contents. There's no telegraphy in Delve, you have to deal with huge packs while your crawler is moving too fast and force you to move along with it while not dying. There're things like abyss critters that're 100% immune to damage before they hit you, and they can come in big quantity with faster attack rate due to mods. Omg why!?
why you had to change immortal call? you ruined the interaction between IC and soul of arakaali -_-
" Squishy, hell, I have a 9,142 ES witch I'm now a bit concerned about. >.> Especially since IC is strength-based. If it's 35% at level 20, what is it at level 12? -.- Awakened Combustion Support when?
