An Update from Chris

I love GGG best game devs out there
keep it up!
I think 4 major updates a year is too much pressure and i think it has shown with the last 2 leagues.
2 Major updates a year with a few theme weeks thrown in would be cool.

Everything was going great until I will killed by a curtain.

I must say the players complaints seem less like they want more work out of you, and more easy quality of life issues.

Leaving betrayal where you can skip it is not a manpower issue, its a choice.

Having trade intentionally suck is 99% a choice. It would take a small amount of work over time to fix this. Its a choice.

What you perceive to be a "small amount of work" could in actuality be a gigantic amount of work, which is probably what he meant.

That last statement geez. Okay, so it seems like you still don't have an idea what or how to solve this problem so let me tell you what I think. Your problem is you still have multiple problems that you haven't solve and yet you keep on adding content that are potentially MORE problems in the future! Do you mind slowing down a bit because it is obvious that GGG can't handle this much load. In short words, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!

I'll cut you a break since you are new here, but I promise you they do care about quality. They are usually upfront with us about their mistakes and most likely already have some solutions in mind but are saving them until those ideas are actually in motion to to tell us. While GGG is owned by Tencent they still aren't that big of company in terms of numbers if I remember correctly.
The leagues are what keep it fresh, but on a different note i wouldn't mind longer leagues allowing for more time to plan the next one.
man Chris take your time bro still love this game very much!!!
While I'm really annoyed at a lot of things in PoE right now... I would rather you took a league off than run your staff into the ground!

.. it's a relief to see Synthesis will not be merged.. while some of the crafting stuff is very impressive, it's almost more tedious than obtaining crafting recipes.. which is my REAL main concern..

considering the RNG required to obtain them, there are far too many.. while I like that there are many.. obtaining them the way we do now.. is FAR FAR FAR too bloody much work and RNG required.. for this to be continued every 3 months.. I will be already burnt out for 3.7.. and 3.8.. and 3.9.. and 4.0 and 5.0 and 6.0.. etc.. if this is going to be something we have to do every 3 months..

looking forward to the Q&A

generally dangerous
This is why I’m staying here with u Chris and GGG, take my energy

"A big topic in the gaming industry recently is development crunch. Some studios make their teams work 14 hour days to pack every patch full of the most fixes and improvements possible. Sometimes when we read our own Patch Notes threads and community feedback, we feel that we are being asked to do the same. I will not run this company that way.

What you don't saying here is that three month development cycle between "expansions" was your idea at first place. And now you basically saying that you don't like that idea any more.
Mirror of Kalandra?
i love the game, i bought into it to support. i liked the leagues even if they turned like bestiary did. BUT i already quited twice due to performance issues. Between load time, crashes, syndicate, br server (the only one in latin america) and some other performance related stuff.
To be honest, Synthesis was no fun to me but...

I know the company and the game long enough to know that next league will be different. I don't view this very critical and I look forward to the next expansion. This is the best ARPG and a solid company behind it that is not afraid to experiment with new concepts. Keep doing what you are doing.

PS: That being said I still wonder if a tier 3 expansion might be too much for every expansion or if a mix of tier 2 & 3 would be better.
