BEAT Path of Exile Racing Invitational May 5th

IMO it is sad that racing has become a circle jerk of top streamers/invitation only. Even though many of us plebs don't have the skills/hardware to compete with the best, it is still enjoyable to participate in races. Even when you finish in top 500 or whatever place- you were part of a competetion and had an opportunity to get some excitement and comparison to others.
No disrespect to the racers btw, i love those guys and i love watching how they race. It's just that GGG could provide something like that to everyone who plays POE.

Exactly this. There should be a minimum load time when changing areas to balance load times. But even that wouldn't be enough. Better to track active time to remove load times / crashes, and let people sleep or play on their own schedules.

But whatever, races are dumb and most streamers just popularize builds they rip from unknown players.

Aha. You mean 3 weeks later than top players? Part of competition to whom, guys that didn't really care? Because clearly not to top players.
Wake up you guys. Are you getting invited to FIFA World Cup? Participating in Olympics casually?
There is league start race, this month Flashback, if you're not satisfied with that, just gather some bois 'round about your racing skill and throw up imaginary race in main league or proper private one.

I don't like how you exclude most of the community from being a part of this event. As it's always the same few players that get to compete in this kind of events where real rewards are on the line and not just cosmetics that anyone can buy.

I get that covering so many players would be tough, but at least give the smaller racers, and streamers a chance to place in the top to compete against the top racers.

Like instead of having a race where you randomly draw out some mtx... Let it be known that if you place well, you will get an invitation to be a part of an event like this.

You did this exact same thing when the Kitava Statue was the reward, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one that was a bit sad to learn that there was absolutely no chance to get or win that thing, as only a selected popular few, got to compete.

I know my comment won't change anything about this upcoming event. But please consider giving all of us a chance to place in a tournament like this in the future.

Not sure if it has been said, but maybe a great idea would be to have a wildcard entry. A pre race event where the top 5 from the rest of the POE community can compete in the event. Gives us lower players something to go for! Might see someone a bit different
