2h15 min A5 Kitava is a joke. It should be open participation or they should hold a qualifier. I and many others have been practicing for the last month. This is a huge slap in the face to aspiring racers.

Races are almost exclusively invite-only. The only people who are invited to race are top racers. Top racers are the only people who race. I wonder why people wouldn't 'put effort in' in that sort of environment?

This isn't a huge deal to me. I'm not going to watch and, outside of Havoc's stream, I don't really care about the current races. It's just bewildering and frustrating to see them promote the game through racing when there's no support structure in place for the majority of players. The game has at least 100k more players than it did when GGG ended racing seasons three years ago. That's a huge swath of players who have never experienced racing and, when the vast majority of races now are invite-only, have no incentive to try. If they're going to hold these promotions, maybe it's time to revisit race seasons.

Did you miss the Kammel's Race which happened literally less than a week ago? It wasn't exclusive to streamerhttps://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2479471. If you do good there you'll easily be noticed, no one is willing to watch or cares for someone who will take 12hrs to clear act 10. If it's a race like this, it needs casting you expect casters to sit for 12 hours watching you kill whitemobs and waste time? Lol.

Not all races are exclusive Kammel's Race literally last week wasn't for example.

Why is this generation of ours so obsessed with consolation and participation prizes? They signify nothing but mediocracy.
