I really loved Betrayal League so far, now I started on Hardcore for the first time and feel proud to finish Masterminds Lair Deathless.
Keep up the great work! If you play just for fun and not to make currency, this League is completly awesome with so much content to do. |

Reasons why i hated this league:
Mastermind was useless (rewards were useless and had none/or little value) + screwed the syndicate board Some safehouses were too rare to be found (no balance in spawning) Crafting system is bad (the way to unlock some craft randomly sucks) Monsters need some balance, too many one shots, even with 8k life and all sort of defenses. Trading system is worse, we need some sort of automation for auto selling items without having the need to leave missions all the time. |

So what's wrong with the Mastermind? Here's my history with the fight and why I'm fairly certain the vast majority of people cannot (or will not) kill her:
Week 1 of the league....I've got the Mastermind available. I'm about level 90, arc traps, have already cleared Shaper. Great gear, great build, blasting through T16 content. So I figure, its time to try it out. Bring up one of the videos and watch it through. Its nuts. I'd NEVER have figured out the totems in the corners by myself in one fight. I'm not sure how this guy figures it out. So in I go. Its about ilvl 75....and it wipes me pretty handily. Green #@$% EVERYWHERE. OMG GGG, what's your deal with fights based on a single color? (Mastermind Knock 1 - The fight is completely CRAP. Green everywhere, some green is good? Most of it is bad. Step on the skeletons quick, but if you are miliseconds late the gank you. And don't get me started on her last phase. I frankly cannot fathom how a true melee without massive leech could ever do this fight, but then again, GGG doesn't do fights true melee can handle anymore so there's that) So like everyone else, I think about what hit me, watch the video again, and open up the Syndicate to find not only can I not do it again right away....I have to rebuild my ENTIRE info bar on her. Seriously? I rage quit that weekend for a couple days. (Mastermind Knock 2 - You can't run it again anytime soon after wiping. This is a MAJOR design flaw for such a deadly encounter) So I come back on on Tuesday with a plan. I've read this silly Harbor Bridge farming thing so I figure, I'm going to farm HB for days until the MM fills back up, make massive money, level to 100 with pure breechstones and do the MM with an intentionally sandbagged level. So about 4 days later, she's ready. I haven't done any Syndicate in maps AT ALL. I enter the MM fight....its iLvl 68. I'm level 95. I'm thinking yeah, I'm gonna smoke this...I'm overlevelled by almost 30 levels. Well #@# me. She kills me first in phase 3....but she's already past half health....I'm thinking yeah, i'm about to get her. After THREE one shots as I re-enter the room before I can even establish presence and figure out where she is, I just call in a Molten Strike guy from our guild to clear it out and get me the achievement. That's when I discover the complete joke the rewards are....and that it resets the board. (Mastermind Knock 3 - Its incredibly over-tuned. A lvl 95 character with 80+ ex of gear that is 27 levels over the bosses level should 1) not get oneshot by anything in the room 2) should be easily capable of killing it without even knowing the mechanics.) (Mastermind Knock 4 - Who does this content in Hardcore? OMG, an ilvl 68 Catarina ONE SHOTS me at level 95 with 5,800 life. This is NOT acceptable tuning for any fight) (Mastermind Knock 5 - The rewards are a big slap in the face. I can't even imagine who at GGG thought the flask itself was good enough to start the league, but what they added isn't any good either) (Mastermind Knock 6 - It freaking resets the board) So the league goes on. I level to 100, buy seriously godly gear, kill Uber-Elder, leave Mastermind bar full for 6 weeks, buy the big MM challenge in somebody else's run being sold by (guess what build?) a freaking Molten Striker. This Molten Strike kills everything BS needs to end BTW GGG. Finally last week, I figure, time to try it again, surely I can beat it. ....and I can't. I can beat Uber-Elder. I can't touch the Mastermind......and I can't re-try it anytime soon.....and I don't care to. EVER AGAIN. So GGG, i'd say there are 6 BIG reasons don't run your sorry Mastermind fight, not just one. |

Would be nice to see some numbers of Betrayl Encounters done in red maps vs Acts. I bet 99% of Mappers had this deactivated

-Mastermind rewards suck -Mastermind board reset sucks nothin else as long as it stays this way, ill never again do it. btw, best of the league isnt betrayal, its the old masters gone. Betrayal itself isnt fun. Its one more mechanic in the game that pushes players to "tab" out of the game and search for informations the game is not giving to the players. How to best build the board to get this or this stash in safehouse? pls get that information elsewhere. What room i need on stage 1 to get the stage 3 room missing in my challenges? oh pls tab out of the game and get that information elsewhere. Oh im missing a recipe for my workbench. pls tab out of the game and get the information about elsewhere. It sucks.
